Charlie Broom won a 10-8 MTB over Billy Harris and that is a good win after his weekend trip back from the USA. Billy actually guarantees a qf spot with that point, he heads Group C with 4, Charlie on 2 and Dan Cox on 0 and needing a straight sets win over Broom to get through
Meanwhile, Jay took the opener over Giles Hussey 6-2 but is in a tie break second set
Is there 1/4 finals? I though it was straight to semi finals?
Edit: So it is. When on this page, https://ukproleague.com/finalsweek/#mens_draws, it shows a different format to https://ukproleague.com/format/

As CD says - in the league weeks they ended with a 16 player format in 4 groups of 4, with winners into semis. In the womens, they stuck with 12 players in 4 groups of 3, then a QF round and so on. The finals week is 12 players and has adopted the womens weekly format in mens and womens.
Before week 5 I think it was, both fields where 12 players, not really sure why the mens changed to 16!
Do we know what the break down is this year on the prize money? I think I read that it is £57.5k for each draw. So a rough calculation it might be something like
1. 15 000 2. 9000 3. 6500 4. 5000
5. 4500 6. 4000 7. 3500 8. 3000
9. 2500 10. 2000 11. 1500 12. 1000
I can see them mention £750k total money across both draws, which is £375k per draw and £37.5k per week average - given the Finals are the bigger event, your £57.5k would seem to be roughly where I would expect it to be. £630k over 9 weeks would make it £35k per event per qualifying week, leaving £120,000 or £60k per event for the finals...

I don't know the full prize breakdown, but The Shrewsbury Club do say it is a £115,000 prize pot, which would be the £57.5k mentioned for each draw, with the winners each receiving £15,000

Cool, that makes sense then. I think last year they where much more open with prizemoney and TA on this board worked out how much some of the top players would earn - I have a feeling the Finals week winners won a little bit more last season, maybe £20k, but would need to go back and find the thread

Madadman listed it all, on page 1 of this thread - easier to find than hunting for last year.

Ha, well spotted. That was USD I believe and came to $90.5 k per event for the Finals week. That would be around £67k in current ER terms, so looks like money has slipped a little through the entire draw although the champion seems to be similar
Beth scrapes through, saving several match points, winning 11-9 in the MTB.
Feel a little sorry for Emily Appleton. But didn't see enough to get a feel for the match.
Jay really has something to think about after his match too. Very happy he got the win, he needed that, I expect - but he was SO close to losing it, and was often on the back foot when he shouldn't have been.
ANother 3 set match, very good games today, as Beth beats Emily Appleton in another MTB. Secures Emily a QF spot like Billy, with 4 points, and a day off tomorrow as well, so not a bad job for her
