UK Pro Series

Yes he has played a bit mor in the last few months. But its still only 11 tour events on the season. Which is nothing like someone who isnt studying and can commit full time to the tour.

Yes it would be good to see Anton playing much more though these 11 events have all been since the end of May.

For now, apart from his very good grass court Nottingham Challenger and Wimbledon Qualifying top 200 wins ( 98, 164 & 113 ) his best ranking win on tour all season has been vs the WR 378 on his way to a Finland 15K title in his first event of the year at the end of May. He has lost a number of times to.players ranked outside the top 400. So while the talent looks there at times his overall results have been generally pretty underwhelming with really nothing much there in his 6 events since Wimbledon Q.

Cracking start for Sonay in the women's final (vs Freya). *4-0.

It's good that this is on FreeSports (Sky channel 422 for me), so that's it's on normal TV and available to a lot of people.

Edit - 6-0. It does look like Sonay has her number, especially given their H2H, but it's just one set, and if Freya can snatch this next one, then it's obviously the shorter format for the decider.

Edit again - slightly more resistance from Freya in the second set, and was in better positions, but still comprehensive. Sonay wins the women's event 6-0 6-1. Miyazaki (QF), Beth (SF), and now such an emphatic score here, is pretty good going. She's just said she's heading to Tunisia soon, the week after next I think it was.

Sonay is indeed entered for Monastir W15 in Tunisia. She is currently at Q1 on the acceptance list for 22nd November and A9 for the following week (but that is before the withdrawal deadline).

Pretty comprehensive scoreline against Freya - didn't see any of it, but I'm not really suprised as Sonay was so good yesterday.

Sonay is a lot of fun to watch too... she's said her goal is top 500 next year, and that seems eminently achievable.

Sonay's big problem will be gettiing fron 6-700  to 400. This is generally the level where W15 points are not enough to keep moving upward and W25 points are needed. I;m sure she can do thr first bit, not so sure about the second..
