Alicia Barnett confirmed she was playing next week in an Instagram interview last night. Also said she had intended to go to Florida two weeks ago but cancelled as she was too far down the entry lists to have a realistic chance of playing.
It's easy to say in hindsight, but a shame the Moscow W25 wasn't on her radar, as it's not the strongest compared to some other fields, and she would have been about the 10th Q seed.
Another sponsor on board for them with Highland Spring, and you can perhaps gauge some of the players who might be involved judging by who has liked the official page's recent Instagram posts. Completely forgot about Nadia Rawson, as she is another who hasn't featured in any overseas events, but she was a stalwart of the competition last year, so will possibly be involved next week.
Luke Johnson has reacted to one of their tweets indicating his participation. They also responded to another tweet stating the list of players will be available on Saturday evening.
Big news. I did post something on the entries list thread about BT Sport, but upon checking the TV guide next week (up until Weds) I couldn't find anything, so perhaps they might just be doing the event week finals on the Sunday, or the Classic week, but really good getting them involved in whatever capacity.
Ah - just saw further down that above tweet that it's on BT Sport red button.

Beat me to it - yes they told me Saturday PM on their website
Doesn't look like it's going to be on YouTube this time, just the BT Sport red button - I only have the app version in my home office space, so hopefully it will be available that way or I won't be watching. I was hoping it would be on YT through the week, so far more assessable generally, and then maybe the semi's and final maybe on proper BT Sport at the weekend for better visibility, although obviously a lot of competition for sport at the weekend.
Yes re BT Sport, Unfortunately I won't be able to catch any. As unless I'm in front of the TV I can't get the BT sport red Button, as it isn't on the Virgin TV go app.
BT Sport won't work unless you have a subscription. I always have to sign in to be able to watch anything on there. If they show it on youtube there's no problem.

Is the red button available via Sky?
Edit: Just found it!

I wonder what the appetite is for spectators later in the year when they are allowed. A setup similar to last year at St Georges wouldnt allow for any. But a bigger tennis hall like Loughborough would allow for a temporary stand on an adjacent court.
There's been a few mentions of broadcasting 42 matches each week, but there should be 84 matches each week, so it looks like they are just showing one court. It'll be interesting to see how they schedule it because there'll be a few on here primarily interested in the men's event, and not too fussed about the women's, and vice versa, so perhaps alternative men and women's matches on the main 'show court' will be the most appropriate way, or I suppose they could concentrate on one event one week, and the other the next.
