Overall I fear slim pickings this year although I am little bit more optimistic about a slight rise for our middle-rankers this year than in the mens side. Lower down its difficult to see any other big breakthroughs coming along thus changing the look of the top ten.
Best wishes to all our players for 2021 as well as a Happy New Year to all members of the forum. I thank you all for your contributions on here which have kept us all going through what has been a pretty miserable year and that hope 2021 will be a much better one.
I'm usually very cautious with my predictions, but with so many uncertainties it's impossible to know what will happen in 2021, so I may as well throw caution to the wind and be optimistic.

Reserve Katie Swan 190
I've chosen Katie as my reserve because it seems ages since she played and I have no idea how she is or what level she will be at when she returns. I'm hoping she'll have a good season and I can swap her in for whoever turns out to have a difficult year.
Happy New Year everyone and thanks to all of those who have kept this forum functioning during the difficult times.
SuperT has just given me an idea. I'll note everyone's top ten ranking totals and compare them with Stronbow's strongest nation tables - and we can see just optimistic or pessimistic we all are !
It seems a real lottery this year but Im going with very little change because I cant see anyone dropping many points under the current WTA system of amalgamating the 2 years points.

23 entries in now (same as the men's), keep them coming. I shall start filling in the spreadsheet tomorrow, so no going back and editing your entries now - just post again if you have changes.
I suppose I'd better do mine, before I start looking at everyone elses !
Probably do better blindfold, but anyway. My guess on who won't get injured and will move up the rankings, and those that may not defend their points. And Katie as backup
1. J Konta 34 2. H Watson 72 3. H Dart 120 4. E Raducanu 180 5. F Jones 188 6. K Swan 202 7. J Burrage 256 8. S Murray Sharan 260 9. N Bains 310 19. K Dunne 322
Missed the deadline sorry but as my performance was so abject last year (due to optimisim) I doubt it will matter.
I haven't closed the entries yet, you still have time. I'l keep it open until Sunday. I'm going to start recording the entries later today, and it will take a while.
