Ill do my predictions this week but presimably I dont have to have a reserve? Being honest my brain is addled and Im failing to understand the point of it! So Ill do a top 10 and smile nicely when I lose to all the other folks who cheat the system with an 11th vote . Ha.

Here - Matilda Mutavdzic - WR 580 - there's a reserve for you - and Happy Christmas
And you're welcome !
No need to thank me in person - Amazon do deliveries - all gratefully accepted....
(Actually I'm not sure how reserves work either - is it the 11th player on your list or a real joker player, anyone? Not that anyone would know, I guess, now I think about it....)

It feels a little like fantasy football! Why dont we go all out and swap in a player each week as a sub?! And lets have players designated by courts type, eg as we come to grass we can pull on one of our grass players instead of a clay courter?!
I thought it was fair to make Katie B my sub as she is the classic example of one who could either be one of our top few or spend the entire season out injured

Ill stick with a top 10 I think.
Be nice wouldn't it, but no way am I going to take it to that extreme ! One sub only, to be used if required in that two week period only. And to be chosen with your original selection, complete with their predicted ranking.
Katie B would certainly be a good one to pick. Picking someone with too low a ranking would just upset the GB ranking points for your other selections !

Still too complicated for me! Ill stick with 10! ps thanks though, I enjoy this competition!

Says the man who organised multiple polls, with juggling players to balance out the rounds !

Ha! Well, maybe not complicated from a structural perspective, but from a strategic point of view...whew!
Anyway, seriously, here are my entries, top 10 only!
Jo Konta 25
Heather Watson 45
Francesca Jones 160
Emma Raducanu 180
Harriet Dart 200
Sam Murray 240
Katie Boulter 250
Eden Silva 350
Maia Lumsden 400
Emily Appleton 450
I am afraid I am being rather pessimistic and giving just 10 girls a top 500 year end, down from 16 this season. I hope I am wrong. Also see Fran J and Emma R as the 2 who will get up the rankings a fair bit

You've just got the 9 names there Jon, so I assume you had one of Jodie or Katie S in there, but accidentally missed one of them out, or a serious fall in ranking for both?

Ooops did that last year as well - no, I meant to include Eden Silva. Re others, taking the view that there is no point in being mid table here so a calculate gamble in mens and womens on some of the younger players coming in and a lot of the mid rankers taking a tumble. I am hoping it will give me decent points at season end although suspect a) i will be at bottom of the tables for some time and b) i will also end at the bottom of the table!
Fair enough, interesting tactic, just noticed no Naiktha either after your explanation. It'll certainly differentiate you from the field as I'd imagine the vast majority would have all, or most, of those notable names you've omitted. Mind, I hope you are towards the bottom as I would be pretty gutted if that was how the GB women's landscape looked in 12 months time, haha.

Does anyone know when current points will start dropping off please? I thought I saw March mentioned but not sure if that's still right. The longer players are allowed to keep their points from historic events the less likely we are to see significant changes in the positions so knowing the answer to this will definitely affect my predictions. Thanks
This is what the WTA currently have on their website
"Under the revised system, a players ranking will be comprised of her best 16 results in singles and best 11 results in doubles based on the points earned between March 2019 through December 2020. A players ranking breakdown will include the "Better of 2019 and 2020" points earned at Tour-level and Grand Slam events. Further, a player may not count the same WTA Tour or Grand Slam level result twice in her ranking breakdown. Tour-level points added in 2020 will drop after the event is scheduled to be played again in 2021 or after 52 weeks, whichever is earlier."
If you want to see what points are dropping when, some of the rankings websites give breakdowns for individual players, with drop dates. Not sure how reliable they are at the moment though, as some of them are slow to update and have occasional errors.
