Would making a substitution now be for the rest of the year or just for this calculation?

For the rest of the year. Although I don't think Anton is actually going to help your score  wink

If I sub him for Paul he will because Anton is 11 while Paul is 14th.however  now I have looked at the ranking points you are right, there's no gain. there's every reason  to wait in case it is more profitable to sub out Paul or James or whoever is doing the least well.

Am I right in thinking we only have until 25th July to decide if we want to use our sub? I assume after that we have to stick with our original selection until the end of the year. If that is correct then I would like to use my substitute (Jay 179) to replace Paul Jubb who was my no 8. Is that ok TA? Thanks

Going to leave my squad as it is - no doubt they will come marauding through and take top spot in due course!

Noted SuperT. And yes, squad fixed from 25th July until the end of the year.

Here is the table with the substitutes noted. Some have an immediate effect - others will take time !

Thanks for the update TA - I'm a bit late catching up with this but it's left me a bit confused. I chose to swap out Paul Jubb (GB 8 ranking 255) and replace him with Jay (ranking 179). I haven't done the full calculation but I reckon Paul was only giving me 2 points, and I think Jay would score the same, so I don't quite understand how the substitution could have cost me 6 points? Is there something else going on that I don't understand? Sorry to be a nuisance. Thanks.

Substitutions slot in to the position vacated by the player you take out so Jay is classed as #8 regardless of his actual ranking

I understand that and it's why he only scores me 2 I think, the same as Paul was.

Always right to query it, as even when I check it three times mistakes slip through. You were right, I had swapped out the wrong player.

Paul gave you 2 points for GB ranking and none for WR (48% out). Jay gives you 1 point for GB and 0 for WR (26% out), so dropping only one point in total.
