Giulia Morlet was the 'next big star' for a while.
She was champion of France for 13 year-olds, and then again in the 15-16 year-old category (where she beat Elsa Jacquemot, I think)
Not many win twice and she was always in the FFT press, and being touted for great things.
I'm not really quite sure what happened but certainly the last 12-24 months have not been that great (she got knocked out in the first round in RG juniors this year).
She passed her Bac with Mention Bien, I read, which is very good for a player spending so much time on her tennis and I think she's off to the US next year, Arizona I think.
SHe's known for being a player who constructs her point rather than one like Elsa who tries to hit the fluff off the ball. Which might be more up Anna's street.
Thanks for the info . I don't think I'd even heard her name before. Yeah, her results this year didn't look very special from that above link, but good to know that she did at least have some credentials.
So contrary to Heathers claim (I like Heather but that was defo more about taking the heat off her performance) it now appears as though we have 2 youngsters that can make an impact.
