Also moved up from the 4th to 3rd highest 2007er, I think.

Just watched the end of a very good match between her and Jacqueline Ogunwale in the first round of the U16 nationals. She is talented.

I'm very confused by the LTA organisation here though, like why both these girls are in qualifying for the U18s when their ITF rankings are higher than several of those accepted for the main draw (and they aren't even seeded in qualies). Indeed, going on ITF rankings Jacqueline would have been seeded in the U16s but assume they are using something else for that purpose.

Looks like they are using the LTA combined rankings for that age.

What has happened to her of late? I think she was the youngest player at Wimbledon  2021. ,

She reached the J3 singles semis in Glasgow last week, first event in a while but did well again

Norway, J4:

Girls' Title: Hephzibah Oluwadare (2007) wins, 6-1 7-6(5)

Lovely to see Hep back in fine form.

A J4 title, at age 14, is a very good achievement.

She only has three singles counters at the moment, too, so that will be a nice boost for her junior ranking.

As an update for Hep:

March - made the final and the semi-finals in the two J3s at Loughborough

April - made the semis of the U18 National Championships, before losing in three sets to Talia N-G

Time for an update of little fave, Hep (still 14):

Juniors:

Made the QFs of the doubles at Junior Wimbledon (with Hannah Klugman)

And, in singles, the final of the J2 in Aldershot (losing to Isabelle Lacy), the semis in the J2 in Durban, followed by the semis in the J1 in Durban

She is now our top-ranked 2007 girl (just above Mimi), at JWR 136 (and due to go up to about 107 next week)

Adults:

In adults, she also played an excellent match at Nottingham against France's Tessah Andrianjafitrimo, a top-200 player, taking a set off her and thoroughly holding her own. As well as another quali win (over Emily Appleton)

Really impressive at her age. Well done!

Plus only seven 2007 players above her in the rankings.

Im a huge Hep fan. Really want to see her do well but in the last 6 months feel like shes taken some huge steps back.

I hope she can get things back and keep progressing in 2024.
