Does this guarantee Naomi that top doubles spot?

No, mathematically any one of Emily, Heather, Sam, or Eden could catch her with a win in Dubai w/c 7th December. We'll have to wait and see who plays.

With no WTA tournaments, and only a handful of W25's it'll need a good performance, so Naomi is 90% safe.

Even with an abbreviated year, poor that someone has barely played let alone won any matches(?) is the top doubles player.

not much glory in this one all around i think!

looking at the what would have been wta race on open era rankings, here is where our womens players would be

Jo - 32 (so clearly a not so brilliant year for Jo confirmed)
Heather - 53
Harriet - 125
Fran - 145 reflecting her great end to the year
Jodie - 173
Sam Murray - 202
Katie B - 205
Mandy C - 284

Seems you can flog a dead horse, lose just about every match and be just about the best in Britain.

And people wonder why doubles isnt taken seriously....
