Jasmine now 3-2 up on serve, after being 0-2, but both first two games going to deuce. From livescores looks a tight match.

Worrying, Katie just retired despite being a break up.

Any idea what the retirement was due to?

I fear Katie is simply too injury prone to ever fulfill her potential.

Goes for Katie Swan perhaps too.

It's possible that she's simply sick of course. But injury does jump to mind.

And I'm no doctor but Katie B is terribly thin for her height.

It may work well in the modelling world or whatever, and I know that different people have different morphologies etc., but she looks like she needs an intensive physio training period to really add some muscle to support her frame, her back, because tennis puts such strains on the body and in a very unbalanced way, you need a lot of core strength to resist injury.

Decent effort by Jasmine.

She's playing a pretty high-flying youngster, a lot higher in the echelons than her.

But quite a nice draw, all the same.

The score is pretty respectable.

With her history she may just have felt a twinge and thought sod it, let's face it, end of the season 15k is not really going to progress her much, or she could feel ill or she could've slipped and hurt herself. I wouldn't be too concerned right now but if it's still happening at the start if 2021 season then that would be a little ominous, on the other hand delpo has managed to keep coming back.

We had four in the draw but now there is only Emilie.

She has levelled the match 4-6 6-3

In her Instagram post after the final on Sunday she seemed more relieved not to be injured than disappointed at losing.

Katie has had long periods due to illness and injury where she has not been able to work on her core fitness. And I so wish that this will change for her as much work is needed.

I agree with CD re her being too thin. In fact I would say that she is ridiculously thin for a past and hopefully again top 100 player.

Is that it then all the Brits are out of this tournament?
This is becoming a familiar theme.

3 out of 4 lost their R1 matches but Emilie LG did win.

So she's still going, as are Fran, Katy D, Mandy and Emily App in other women's ITFs.
