That doesn't sound like an equal split!

Not Kyle, obviously but a familiar name all the same to GB players and fans...

L32: (Q) Aljaz Bedene (SLO) WR 52 (CH = 43 March '18) vs (SE) Daniel Evans WR 35 (CH = 28 in March)

Both Bruno Soares and Rajeev Ram lost their qualifying matches.

Bruno Soares lost to Attila Balasz 62 64 in the Viennas last qualifying round and missed the chance to play his first singles match ever at Atp level

Luckily there was no streaming for this match he told me after the handshake

I thought the rule applied to the level of tournament, ie Futures, Challenger, ATP?  And no SEs at Grand Slams.  I'm sure somebody will be able to correct me.
Here is a question aimed at ultra hardcore tennis pedants:  If a low ranked player makes it thru to the QF or SF of an ATP event and this means he can not make it to the qualifying of a Challenger event that he had entered, is the player granted an SE into the main draw of the Challenger?  Has this ever happened?
I think that if Dan had taken one of his match points yesterday, he would have won today.

It is a shame that the organisers couldn't find space Ugo. I think Dan took preference as his ranking was higher at the entry / cut off date. I thought there were normally 2 SEs though?  But I'm really not an expert here, perhaps there are 2 SEs at bigger events.

For whatever reasons there was just one SE place here, and yes Dan no doubt got it when he reached the Antwerp SF, due to being higher on the Vienna entry list than Ugo.

Actually I  didn't think SEs normally applied when moving on to higher rated tournaments, eg. ATP 250 to ATP 500, which would have neant no SE spots ar all. But that may be wrong or maybe they are adapting rules a bit in these strange times.
