It's also quite amusing how one little side comment has subsequently resulted in a couple of pages of speculation and digging up of rules and past squads . Someone just coming in from work and seeing a W15 thread with 75 posts on a Wednesday would probably assume something really significant had happened, ha.

She did reach the SF here last week (losing to Garland), and seemingly beat Freya pretty convincingly in R1, but a few modest defeats as well, and Bet365 have her at 5/1 (even if there is less data/info at this level), so you'd like to think it should be a relatively safe passage. I think today's 19 year old opponent had a few more credentials on paper.
Edit - a lot of that referenced by TA.

Should we expect Katie to go all the way at this level or still be working her way back to match fitness?
None of the players in Katie's section are ranked inside the top 600, so she should be able to reach the semi-final where she would probably play the top seed, Gasanova WR290.
So if she's match-fit and finds form, there is no reason why she couldn't go all the way.
