Katie wins comfortably 3 & 2, and we'll have to wait and see who her next opponent is.
Joanna is now 6-1 5-3*

Seem to be an awful lot of 'ova's and 'eva's in Sharm this week. I make it 13 in the main draw alone. And they aren't all Russion (although were 8 Russians in the first round)

Good stuff.

Garland now through as well. She probably benefited from Leonard putting out Samir in the last round because Samir beat her (Joanna) in two sets in the final last week, and also beat Jodie in Portugal the other week. Coincidentally, Garland vs Leonard was one of few French Open Jr matches I watched last year.

She now plays Scholsen in the SF who won 0 and 2 today, and she was that good win Emilie LG had last week in between her two tournament retirements. Should be a fairly decent chance Garland makes the final again (and fingers crossed she finished runner up here again, this time to Katie).

Edit - Ah - just read the thread back and TA had already referenced Scholsen, but yes, it kind of does highlight that good win for Emilie especially as the Belgian was operating in the 300s not too long ago.

I've also had one line for a GB player, and and a whole post on someone who doesn't even play for GB, ha.

Edit again - it was actually Emmsie (well, actually both)
