Reality check - Aussies wont lose a match versus Scotland, sorry, England and Aussies will go through

You are probably right.  But Josh Hazlewood did say they would have to consider their strategy if it meant getting rid of England whom they consider as serious rivals for the cup.  It was probably tongue in cheek when he said it, but it has occurred to them.

Mmmbut thats because the press are pushing that narrative. It wont happpen!

Not looking good at the moment. Heavy rain means the England match could be a wash out. That would see England knocked out.

The rain in Antigua falls mainly on England  biggrin

Would even out since they escaped with a draw against Scotland when that match was abandoned

Well, England scored 122 off 10 over. Namibia need to face 5 overs for a result. England should win this, not sure what the calculations would be if 10 overs not reached though.

Scotland on at 1.30am and then presumably catching their flight back to Heathrow later tomorrow?

Heathrow flight? Must be England then after Scotland somehow beat the Aussies. There are airports in Scotland.

Already mentioned Mark Cavendish and his achievement in another thread recently so couldn't let today pass without giving a mention to the GOAT that is Jimmy Anderson.

Finished his career at Lords today and ended up with 704 test match wickets - more than any other fast bowler in history. On merit, he would still be in England's best XI but I understand that logic that there comes a time when you have to give younger players the chance to make a name for themselves on the international stage.

And after 21 years of test cricket, what does he do ? He wanders on to the outfield and has a bowl at some kids - just for fun.

Lovely moments for those kids - who happen to be the son and daughter of Ben Stokes.

Thanks for the memories Jimmy.
