Spent the weekend working at La Manga where a weekend of International T20 cricket was taking place. Spain played the Isle of Man in a 6 match series over three days. Never once did I expect this low level tournament to make the international press.

But the final match of the series had certainly caught people's attention.

Even as far away as new Zealand

In the final match, Spain bowled out IOM for just 10 runs, and then hit the first two legitimate deliveries for 6, to win with 19.4 overs to spare.

I know we have quite a few cricket enthusiasts so I thought I would post this here.

If anyone knows of any teams that might be interested they can respond via Twitter or you can put me in touch direct.

Hope nobody has a problem with me posting this.

Call me a pessimist, but I am going for England All Out for less than 200 in the first innings.

Painful progress by this England team though. I mean overall they are still at less than 5 runs an over

But 300 may be a struggle which isn't anywhere near good enough on this pitch

Could have been worse if the Aussies had their hearing aids turned up earlier in the day.

OK. Never underestimate Yorkshire.

But that is a hugely brave declaration on Day 1 on a Ashes test - pre Bazball I would have called it reckless. With Root still at the crease and the pitch being so flat, it was not out of the question that another 50+ runs could have been added.

I will have to trust the new approach I suppose.

Expecting a very long hard two days for England's bowlers. Will do very well to keep Aussies below 500.

Not from Stokes. And the Ausssie pair were a bit frenetically trying to produce a helpful run out last night. I'm certainly not as against it as everything in previous eras would have said I should be with in particular Root still there. I would not have been amazed if a wicket had fallen.

And I'm a bit like Bob in coming round more to Bazball thinking. I still can't quite take to comments that it is more about entertainment than winning when it is professional international sport. But the truth is England have been winning a lot playing their way - and that certainly is good.

Jonny Bairstow already justifying his selection for the 2nd test by physically carrying a Just Stop Oil protestor from the field of play.
