Weeks 39 & 40 - French Open, Roland-Garros, Paris (clay)

Heather will need to be fitter than in her recent tournaments if she is going to progress. Fingers crossed.

oh rats is it due to rain?

I've just looked at the odds and am (pleasantly) surprised to find that Jo is favourite.

Due to rain all day, although lighter in the afternoon so some matches might get done - and then a bit on and off for the next few days, and then tons next weekend......

I think Jo will win #crossfingers

I'm  not sure that's such a good thing. I think Jo has been backed to win all her matches since the return and that has obviously not been the case.

Better weather over here than it is in Paris.

Wish Amazon Prime was covering the tournament. Watching on ITV 4  they chop and change with the matches so somehow or other you never see a full match. Now about to start 'Dan's match.

Both were priced fairly close, but she was actually the betting underdog against both Begu and Muguruza in Rome, obviously winning one of those.

You can get 4/1 at Paddy Power on Heather beating Ferro if anyone wants to attempt to turn £1 into £5, £5 into £25 etc. I don't think she will, but they really are big odds.

Still not in legal bet365 territory. But I'd have a couple of 10ps on Heather at those odds.
Of course Fiona is the favourite. But with the absolutely awful on -going injury issues she's had, and the extra pressure of Roland garros, and hev being not bad on clay, those odds seem a tad too wide, I agree.

Dan's match on eurosport 1, to be followed by Jo.

Don't think Jo's match will ever start. Chardy won the  first  2 sets and now they are into a  5th set.

Might just be on soon - Rodionov about to serve for the match at 9-8 (no tie-break in final set)
