Thank goodness for that!

He seemed to make heavy weather of that one, he will need to play a lot better in the next round or Ferrer will have him for breakfast.

Thank goodness he won! That should do Murray's confidence the world of good and hopefully he can remember how to serve ready for Ferrer!

Just in, managed to miss the whole match.

So  a nice straightforward win then against the 27th ranked player in Spain

Nice warm-up for their no 2 !

Ah, but it will be Ferrer's first match, he will be cold . . .

Obviously not the best performance of his life but at least it gets him a win and something to build on.

OK, it was a bit of a struggle, but at least Andy's still in.

There were 5 other players playing lowly ranked Spaniards ( ranks 164 to 347 ) and they all got beaten.  Tursunov, Srichaphan, Djokovic, Spadea and Zib are ALL OUT

Given only 1 out of the 2 Spanish seeds actually won today ( Moya lost to a Russian qualifier ), it's clearly easier to play against Spanish seeds, so easy win for Andy coming up

OK, maybe I'm just extending things a bit too far with that last paragraph

Indy...priceless

You missed about 8 breaks of serve and Andy serving at 47% in the 2nd set....he also couldnt buy a pt of his second serve until half way through the 2nd set !

Just the usual Murray mayhem !!!
