Not watching it, but from what I am reading (from reliable sources) Djokovic should have been defaulted for throwing his racket.

Edit

Indeed he has been

He has been defaulted for hitting a ball in frustration . It hit and injured a line official

Perfectly justified.

Took way too long. Too much negotiation.

But quite right decision

Not his racket, Bob, the ball.

But in fact, djoko fell and hurt his shoulder, failed to convert three set points, got broken, and then hit the ball in the face of an official. Not his best 5 minutes.......

I believe the lineswoman will live.

Yes, Leon Smith and others on 5 Live Sports Xtra were saying that there could only be one decision and the discussions with Djokovic were ridiculous.

Definitely right with regards to consistency though generally I tend to feel the bar is too low for defaults.

Indeed,  the right decision. Took too long,  but got there in the end.  Similar to what happened to David Nalbandian at Queens a few years ago.

Hopefully he'll sort out his attitude.  No point getting that riled up because you're broken in a game .

Really hope the lines official is OK

I wondered why the score was stuck for so long.
Poor lady. Hope she is ok.
Very happy with the result though.

Indeed - super arrogant,  not a fan. The men's tournament has just got a lot more interesting....

I wonder how PCB would have felt if Djoko was allowed to play on after that long break. The deliberation took a long time, one of the commentators was saying the umpire should have a tv/ screen which would have aided the decision making process. Not sure if that's absolutely necessary, it was obvious from the replay he hit the ball with disregard.

The chair umpire explained clearly to the referee/officials what and how it happened.

A tv replay might be useful in some cases but she saw it clearly here

This is karma for all the crap Novak has done. Mostly for the injury fake against Murray at the AO.

Had to go and deservedly so. Might not have been intentional but was careless and clearly hurt her, and was in frustration.

I don't like Djoko, never have, but only defence is it wasnt on purpose. But Shapo, Henman both went for similar.
