Nice to be able to report on events with week numbers again after 22 weeks without!
The LTA is organising 3 weeks of competition in various age groups at five venues, but with the under 16 and under 18 aimed at top juniors being played in Nottingham. The under 18 winners gain wild cards into the following week's British Tour events, as has been mentioned in those threads.
Week 1 went with seeding with Jack Pinnington Jones defeating Lui Maxted and Millie Bissett beating Eva Shaw in 1 vs 2 battles in the under 18 finals. 12 year old Mingge Xu was a notable semifinalist. Phoenix Weir and Millie Skelton won the under 16 week 1 events
This article provides more details and a link to the draws for all 3 weeks across all divisions.
Week 2 consisted mainly of short sets in the under 18s and under 16s (presumably because of the Nottingham weather), but the under 18 boys played full sets from the semis, where Max Basing defeated top seed Lui Maxted 7-5 6-3, before taking out Billy Blaydes 6-3 6-4 in the final. In the girls under 18s top seed Eva Shaw booked her wildcard into the British Tour with a 4-0 4-3(4) victory over Ranah Akua Stoiber, but only just survived the quarter-final (a 4-1 1-4 12-10 win against Hannah Read). Under 16 semi-finals and finals are tomorrow

Except that the requirements for the brit tour return to elite competition events are players must be 16 at start which would rule eva out. I think this was a government rule back in july for brit tour events but I haven't seen it changed. If it had changed for this second brit tour series there could have legitimately been a few u16 players who may have got in on rating and ranking, without a wildcard. We will see when wc for next brit tour are added in next day or two.

Yes, although the LTA article quoted in the first post implies that any winner will be eligible for the British Tour wildcards, I see that the original LTA announcement in July about the BT events did specify 16 and over for direct acceptances. Whether this requirement is relaxed for wildcard winners we may see shortly (I would be surprised if it were a government rule) though winners aren't obliged to take up the wildcard offer.
This week's under 18 events have already reached the semis, with young Luca Pow upsetting second seed Mattias Southcombe. Top seed Will Nolan survived a match tiebreak against Harry Lazell. The girls event has a weaker field than previously, with Sofia Johnson the only seed in the semis.
Yujiro Onuma, who defeated top seed Will Nolan in the semis, and Ranah Stoiber, who beat the only remaining seed Sofia Johnson at the same stage, ended up as the two under 18 winners in the final week. Here is a recent article about Yujiro.
Both week 1 winners (Jack PJ and Millie) sre still on the acceptance list for one of the first ITF junior events next week - a G2 in the Czech Republic.
