RR3/3:  Daniel Cox UNR defeated Mark Whitehouse WR 603 by 3 & 2 in an hour & 22 minutes

I hope I'm not putting the mockers on Dan's chances, but he seems to be going from strength to strenght at the moment.

RR3/4:  Arthur Féry WR 1199 defeated Ryan Peniston WR 393 by 3-6 6-4 [10-8] in an hour & 40 minutes  biggrin  bleh

RR3/5:  James Ward WR 273 defeated Luke Johnson WR 681 by 0 & 5 in an hour & 29 minutes

Mens groups here much more open than the womens this week:

Group B as follows:

B
8 J. Ward
6 R. Peniston
-------------------
5 A. Fery
3 J. Cash
-------------------
3 L. Johnson
2 H. Patten

James Ward probably favourite now to go through, Ryan v Arthur will be interesting to see who progresses, others not out of it if they can get two wins, although less likely

Group A however is the closest we have seen all event!

A TOTAL
7 A. Gray
6 D. Cox
----------------------
5 L. Broady (+2 games)
5 A. Matusevich (+1 games)
-----------------------
4 B. Harris
0 M. Whitehouse

All of the top 5 players have a realistic chance if they can get the wins. It is must win territory for all and Billy beating Liam in 2 sets was a fabulous result for him!

With Gray playing Cox and Broady v Matusevich tomorrow, those are real 6 pointers. Billy plays Whitehouse and must fancy his chances of getting into the action for the last round

Can see group b going into final round with 5 players on 6 to 8 points. Going to be good ending!

With Dino playing Ryan tomorrow, can see them being a 3 setter and maybe on 8 or 9 points. If Arthur can beat Patten in straight sets hell be on 8 also.

Going to be a fascinating day tomorrow.

My day tomorrow: 8 am daughters A level results, gulp.

Before noon - hopefully get confirmation of a project that will keep our firm going 6 months fully utilised, fingers crossed.

PM- if first two work out, enjoy some tennis and relax

Evening - prosecco!

Hi Jon
Yup A-level results for my son tomorrow too so either an easy day if he gets what he needs to go to Birmingham or a more complex one if we are helping him find a place thru clearing!

And then repeating the day next Thursday with GCSEs for my daughter. The joys of being a parent.....

Good luck to your son and daughter Brittak!

Reading the press, it's such a mess, we are all doomed!

Although they seem to ignore fact overall results are up 2 percent - so me thinks theres some misplaced hysterics going on here...

We will find out in 2 hours!

Another good win for Dan Cox, he goes top of his Group now, albeit first match of the day, but looking like a semi place is set pretty fair for him after that!

Arhur Fery gets a win in MTB against Patten. A win is the main thing and it takes him to 7 pts. With Dino playing Ryan later, Arthur will certainly be in the mix tomorrow for a place in the semis. If Dino beats Ryan today, Dino will have qualified, I believe

Arthur had 3 SPs in the first, so could have won in two, although he lost the first set TB easily.

But lovely to see him looking so comfortable with his game and the sort of tennis he wants to play.

He's obviously got an excellent coaching set-up (which is not at all surprising, of course) but it really shows.
