Week 32 - UK Pro Series Classic Week- St George's Hill, Weybridge - (Hard)

Bah, well done to Ryan but that win vs James will probably see off Arthur though he's still in it for now.

Going into the final group matches it will be:
1.Ryan 9 - plays Luke
2. James 8 - plays Henry
3. Arthur 7 - plays Julian

Yes, sadly he is down on H2H v Dino, so if Dino wins 2-1 even, he will top Arthur. Arthur did beat Ryan, so that means that if Arthur wins against Julian Cash in straight sets, Ryan will still need to beat Luke. As Luke himself could keep in the running by beating Julian, it might make it a tougher match than expected.

But certainly agree, Ryan and James have emerged as favourites now, despite Arthur getting the win.

Just tuned in to watch the end of Billy vs Mark W. Looks like Billy is struggling with his movement, specifically his left leg.

So, Group A looks like this:

A TOTAL
9 D. Cox
8 L. Broady
--------------------
7 A. Gray
(5 A. Matusevich - withdrawn)
5 B. Harris
---------------------
2 M. Whitehouse
0 T. Hands

Between Dan, Liam and Ali now.

Last round is:

Liam plays Dan , so winner takes all possibly there.
Ali is poised to qualify as he plays Mark W.
Billy plays Tom and not sure if he can qualify ? If Dan beats Liam 2-0 and Ali loses or gets one set, and Billy wins in straights, then we will have 8 pt ties between 2 or 3 players.

If it is 2 way, then Billy beat Liam h2h and would qualify. In a 3 way tie, Ali seems to have the best h2h record between the 3.

So could be interesting - and Dan is not safe if he loses, then Ali and Liam can beat him.

So 4 players very definitely in it still on final day!

Does anyone have most match wins between the 3 of them? That seems to be the main differentiator, particularly in a 3 way tie. The other week, Nadia-Alice-Emily all finished on 9 points, and Alice beat both of them, but Nadia qualified as she had 4 wins to Alice's 3, and Emily's 2, as there were a lot of MTBs that week. Plus, when they replied to me the other day with the overall standings, they said if there was a tie in the race to the Classic, match wins would be the main tie breaker in that situation.

Here we are with  wins: So even if Billy wins and  gets into a tie, he will most likely be behind the others at the top. Probably out of it, sadly.

A TOTAL
9 D. Cox - 3 wins
8 L. Broady - 3 wins
--------------------
7 A. Gray - 2 wins
(5 A. Matusevich - withdrawn)
5 B. Harris - 1 win
---------------------
2 M. Whitehouse
0 T. Hands

Group B looks like this  Julian probably out of it even with a straight sets win if it goes on wins overall, down to those top 3 it seems

9 R. Peniston - 3 wins
8 J. Ward - 3 wins
----------------
7 A. Fery 3 wins
5 J. Cash 1 win
-----------------
4 L. Johnson 1 win
3 H. Patten 1 win

Ryan v Luke
Wardy v Patten
Fery v Cash

James Ward has really gone down in my estimation.  Post match interview..... no credit to Ryan outplaying him ...just a sore loser.  ( who makes alot of dodgy calls )     https://www.ukproseries.com/news

It doesnt come across well, does it, branding Ryan as lucky and having no pressure against  him etc. But I wonder if that is what and how he said it, or is the presser trying to create some spice there?
