Hmm, I can't see anything that differentiates the two teams. I agree that it would be better if there was.

At least they seem well balanced. I'd just go for the Union Jacks.

Although we know the Team Captains, we dont  know what the teams are representing - ie North v South, England v Scotland, UK based v Non UK based, Old v Young...would be good if they have teams that mean something rather than Team Judie/Greg v Team Anne/Leon!!

I think the answer is to be found in the picture attached the the addict's post.  That lists them as the Union Jacks, captained by Judy & Greg, vs the British Bulldogs, captained by Anne & Leon.  wink

Ah, didnt see that picture! So they are basically doing what they did in the USA, Stars v Stripes...

I hate the phrase British Bulldogs, dont like that at all, so my moral compass will have me supporting Union Jacks ...

So 13 players on each team, 7 men and 6 women?

I see also that JoKo is playing here, as well as Lexington, Palermo and Prague? Good luck with all of that one Jo!!!

I guess Washington being cancelled helped Evo, Kyle and Andy to play here, maybe others from the doubles side as well...

Pretty good line up and it does seem fairly well balanced. Not sure if there's any notable omissions (from those available - WTT, injured etc.). I did think Jack Draper, and it would have been a good chance for him to get his name out there more (especially after pulling out of the last one), but possibly he didn't think he was ready for it after playing in the BT last week.

I assumed Swan (hip) and Clarke wouldn't be available.

Not just Jon:  Lloyd was once Heather's boyfriend.

And I think it ended somewhat acrimoniously...

There is a possibility that Jo could finish up playing in none of the currently scheduled WTA tournaments for various reasons. However she cannot  play in both  Lexington and Prague in any circumstances as they are scheduled for the same week.

Agreed, wasnt she listed on both entry lists based on something I think you referred to on tennis forum?

In the meanwhile Jo is no longer working with Dimitri Zavialoff because the Frenchman is unable to travel as much as needed. She is having a trial period with Thomas Hogstedt.  Also with all this acticvity will Jo's knee hold up.

I remember hearing that Jo had been doing plenty of training on clay. I wouldn't be at all surprised if her participation at SJP is minimal, just the one or two matches. Then skip Lexington and play the clay court season (particularly if the USO doesn't go ahead, although it seems they are trying very hard to hold it)

The comment Mike Dickson made was that it was hard to see that  she will play both. i.e. SJP and Palermo. Also she was waiting to see the situation with the US Open. In a previous era when County Week was a big event I can remember Virginia Wade playing for Kent for a couple of days then flying off to a tournament abroad somewhere. So maybe Jo will do similar.
