When Emma was in the juniors 2 years ago her performances were compared with the Danish player Clara Tauson. Where is this player now in world terms prior to the suspension of global tennis?
Emma beat Clara in the semi-final at Sunderland in March this year. Clara is currently WR212, but she has been playing a lot, while Emma has been studying.
It feels like in Emma, Jodie we have two players that have the game to push Harriet and Katie B for positions towards the top 100 , at least from the results this past few weeks, admittedly not against top 100 opposition.
Katie Swan as well.
If they can all stay fit, they are all capable on top 100.
Draw is out, sorry can't post it as am on my phone. Could be a massive comeback tomorrow, wouldn't be surprised if the Jacks take 14 of the 17 points on offer.

I had a look on the LTA site and as the singles go I would give the Jacks 4 points, the Bulldogs 3 and Dan v. Kyle for 2 points is anybodies guess. Similarly the mens doubles 2 to the Jacks and the mixed has 6 points which I assume you think will go to the Jacks. Dan seems to have a big singles every time he plays. No Emma tomorrow and Jo and Katie are just in the mixed.
Individual results so far, after 3 days are, I think, as follows:
Emma 3/5, Beth 3/5 ,Harriet 2/3, Maia 2/3, Jo 1/2, Eden 0/4 Heather 4/6, Olivia 2/2, Jodie 2/4, Naomi 2/5, Alicia 1/2, Katie 0/3
Cam 4/4, Joe 3/4, Kyle 3/4, Aiden 1/2, Liam 1/3, Alistair 1/3, Dom 1/4, Lloyd 3/4, Jan 2/3, Jamie 2/5, Andy 1/2, Anton 1/3, Dan 1/5. Ryan 0/2,
Cam standing out for me as the performer of the weak so far, Lloyd doing well on the UJ side for the men.
Womens side - Heather, Emma and Beth having good weeks and doing well but much more spread around. Just Eden and Katie B not score on the womens side, Ryan on the mens, so 3 out of 26 only not scored so far .

Like you, I'm reckoning 12-5 tomorrow to UJs, so that would take them a point up.
Big turnaround and makes for an interesting finish, if it happens !

Yes, it sounded from Annie's interviews that Emma's a bit burnt out, and there are injury problems on that team. I wonder whether it was a tactic by the UJs (and for good competition) to save their players for higher pointers.
