Heather enjoying her match, as am I. She is playing aggressively and well.

This Heather is the best Heather.

Jodie beat Harriet, 5-7, 6-4 10-6, bit of a surprise there?

Ranking wise a bit, but not really overall, bookmakers had them very close pre match, and thst was Harriet's first singles match since a Mexico ITF event in early March.

I personally think Jodie's ceiling is a bit higher, but she obviously hasn't had the slam / WTA tour experience that Harriet has thus far.

I do think a big issue there was indeed Jodie being much more match hardened, plus as previously mentioned she seems to have responded well to the team environment and taken on board advice ( which I hope helps her beyond this week ). I don't know about Jodie's ultimate ranking high but for a time yet, on a level playing field, I'd say Harriet would be the one I'd more bank on. Been a good few weeks for Jodie though and a decent outing for Harriet.

No big surprises for me so far - results are as I expected.

Harriet was more competitive than I thought she would be after a long layoff - she'll improve quickly this week. As has Heather.

 Yeah, lovely to see.

And young Emma's won plenty this week - you can't feel sad for her smile

Yep, Emma's doing good. A reasonably on form Heather ( which Heather certainly was before shutdown and now has some matches under her belt ) should still be much the better for now, but in a year or two ...

It feels like in Emma, Jodie we have two players that have the game to push Harriet and Katie B for positions towards the top 100 , at least from the results this past few weeks, admittedly not against top 100 opposition.

Yeah, agreed about the match practice being the main difference in that match, and that last point of mine was totally subjective, and not based on too much, other than perception, given Jodie's lack of matches against top 100/150 opponents so far in her career. But I've said a few times, just my opinion, that I'm not really sure if I see Harriet as a top 100 player, and if she gets there, it could be more of a passing visit - very happy to be proven wrong. I personally think Jodie has a bit more about her, more weapons, and there'll probably be occasions where she can get through matches more easily, whereas Harriet will be more likely to be scrapping and maximising and extracting everything she has.

It's obviously hard to gauge at this stage though due to respective injuries, Covid (and short-medium term opportunities), and mainly a lack of seeing how Jodie gets on against better players.

What is Heather's current coaching situaiton? I know she trialled (somewhat successfully) with Rob Morgan end of last year but commentators just made it sound like they're no longer working together.

Eden making too many errors, going to have to improve if they do actually go to Palermo next week
First set to Liv and Lissey 6-4. Some good coaching from Judy as well.
