Week 30 - St. James’s Place Battle of The Brits Team Tennis - NTC, Roehampton, United Kingdom (Hard)

Pretty ungracious of Kyle, not at all happy about losing, not a touch, more a volley. Difficult to tell whether Dan was just winding him up or not with his "Be very careful Kyle. Be very careful"

Wonder if Kyle wasn't happy with Dan's post-victory celebration? Given the context ie no significant prize money or ranking points on offer it perhaps was a little excessive.

I don't think Dan was winding him up, he probably wasn't expecting that kind of response from Kyle after the match at the net . As a good sportsman even if you lose , you don't behave that way after a match, looked unprofessional of Kyle from what I saw. However I didn't watch the whole match so unsure if there had been disputes during the course of the match e.g dodgy ball calls .... which might have infuriated Kyle.

I think that makes it 14-4 now to the BullDogs - Judy and Greg need to get their team going !

It's actually 16-4 to the Bulldogs!  wink

Youre correct, Dart and Grey finished off their doubles just after I posted and picked up 2 points.

UJ's could really do with all 3 matches left and 6 points to close things up to a respectable level

UJs/BBs:   Daniel Evans WR 28 defeated Kyle Edmund WR 44 by 4 & 4

I think that makes it 16-8.  The 'tache is so wrong!

BBs/UJs:  Emma Raducanu & Joe Salisbury UNR (0+7) defeated Jodie Burrage & Andy Murray CR 471 (386+85) by 4-6 6-4 [10-8]  smile  cry

The score now 18-8.

Emma was superb in that Mixed. I had thought Andy and Jodie would take it, but credit to the Bulldogs.

They are well ahead 18-8 but the points for each match start to rack up so can swing quite quickly.

Such a fun event.

Emma and Jodie playing each other in the singles  tomorrow. Should be interesting.

Yeah, that's the one I'm most looking forward to tomorrow. Not too sure about Evans vs Norrie, only 2 days after their last meeting mind. I suppose at least the first was an upset, and not a routine straight sets Dan win, so that does make it a bit more interesting

I'd assumed there would be no repeat matches. Can see UJs picking up pretty much all of the points tomorrow. They must still be resting Harriet from singles on the Bulldogs team, Eden and SBG are being put out instead.

I think Harriet pulled out of the singles before the event started  but said she would still play doubles. Was it a  groin strain she had?

Yes strange that there should be a repeat but, I guess, if you don't know who the other team is nominating it can't be avoided. Jo and Andy also 'rested' tomorrow. Individual results so far, I think, as follows:

Emma 2/2, Harriet 2/2, Maia 1/1, Jo 1/2, Beth 1/2, Eden 0/2
Olivia 1/1, Jodie 1/2, Naomi 1/2. Heather 1/3, Alicia 0/1, Katie 0/2

Cam 2/2, Joe 2/2, Aiden 1/1, Liam 1/1, Kyle 1/2, Alistair 1/2, Dom 1/2,
Jamie 1/2, Lloyd 1/2, Dan 1/3. Ryan 0/1, Andy 0/1, Jan 0/1, Anton 0/2

Edited for error re-Alistair.

15 points up for grabs as well, could tighten it all up if the UJ's have a decent day tomorrow
