Trump

Maybe Trump is hoping to gain a few more supporters via the sympathy vote?

Psychologists evaluations of Trump are interesting and unsurprising, so he would have no issues putting others health at risk for personal gain... A few comments from Trumps evaluations below - however I don't think you need to be a psychologist to come us with these observations. Personally, I can't imagine a less statesman like president, he's despicable on so many levels!

"Psychologists and commentators from all ideological camps early converged on a label of narcissistic personality disorder as the conditon that explains Trumps behavior."
"Trump is mentally unfit in ways that make him psychologically unsuited for the president"

I know there is a political angle to this, but their information is usually pretty accurate.

Och, what's the fuss? Trump says he feels better than he did 20 years ago and Americans should not be afraid of covid-19. Yep, as CD predicted, if he came through it well, which actually he can't fully be yet, he is already going down the 'it's all over-exaggerated' route, and so further endangering countless more folk, particularly among his own more unquestioning supporters.

Meanwhile after the Biden team said they would take down personal attack ads and have done so, though criticised by the Trump team for not doing it quicker, the personal attack ads against Biden have apparently simply continued unabated through the last few days.

The only thing that surprises me about this is that he didn't "catch" and "recover from" this earlier.

Dexamethasone apparently, as well as while it does its business and also often making you feel a heck of a lot better than you really are ( "I feel better than I did 20 years ago" ), also I read comes with serious regularly found side effects such as mood swings, aggression and confusion.

Folk examining Trump's latest twitter tirades seem to be looking for signs of such behavior. But when you have previously set the bar at the level he has, who can tell. Though a seriously compounded effect is a tad worrying.

Gosh, if he goes ahead with the next scheduled live debate next Thursday, as he says he plans to, the first debate may have seen nothing for car crash TV. Pass the popcorn.

On election prospects, at least his drive-by and balcony stunts, with the lack of care for others, on top of that first debate, seem to have finally seriously turned many Americans. So good work with these, if still concern for the possible effects on others.

I had a brief hospital admission last year and required a short course of dexamethasone, it destroys your sleep patterns and undoubtedly impacts mood stability, generally quite unpleasant when you understand the side effects and there is an appreciation that things are different.

I dont think there is anywhere Trump hasnt been on the behaviour front, I think strategically he has lost focus and made bad decisions while unwell perhaps he will just do it with more vigour. He is a 74 yr old chap who has been quite unwell & likely is still, in a sane world he would have a couple of weeks off to finish his most recent book.

Interesting opinion poll by YouGov on who the Brits want to win in the US Presidential Election.

Pretty safe to say that Biden comes out on top. Even Tory Voters and Leave Voters are heavily in favour of Biden.

NEJM's first endorsedment in 208 years......Try to fathom how incompetent you have to be to have the NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE call for you to be voted out.

The men in white coats really need to take this guy away as soon as Biden beats him next month.

Wow, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that "85% of people who wear a mask catch" coronavirus.

Thank you, Mr Trump for revealing this startling piece of information.

Only thing is that the NBC moderator of the Trump town hall pointed out that what the CDC had found was that of a group of 180 covid patients, 85% of them said they had worn a mask.

I know nothing should surprise with this man. But how you can go on national TV and be so blatantly deceitful, ignorant or both ...

Evidently he was getting fact checked quite a bit in real time which, as the truth so rarely passes his lips, he found a tad annoying.

By all accounts, Biden out did him in the ratings with almost 1m more people watching his "town hall" than that of Trump. Hopefully this is a good sign.

Just wondered if Trump and a whole heap of others would like to hear the words of Ardern and think on:

We are living in an increasingly polarised world, a place where more and more people have lost the ability to see one anothers point of view. I hope in this election New Zealand has shown that this is not who we are.

That as a nation we can listen, and we can debate. After all, we are too small to lose sight of other peoples perspective. Elections arent always great at bringing people together. But they also dont need to tear one another apart."

Although New Zealand isn't the biggest country in the world, for me she is the most impressive leader around right now.  Those are typically wise words from her.

Trump has never let the facts stand in the way and he's now Mr Corona Invincible hmm  It does however seem to be a common misconception that wearing a mask protects the wearer from catching Corona.......wearing a mask prevents the wearer from spreading the virus by stopping the spread of droplets etc, etc.

Indeed, if rather that masks are more effective for helping prevent the wearer from spreading a virus that they don't know they haven't got, and so all the more reason that I have little time for people who choose not to wear a mask.
