Trump

I have long since despised Trump and his form of government but in his most recent tweet today, he is showing signs to me that he no longer mentally stable enough to remain in the position of POTUS.

WARNING: This is the video of a 75 year old man being pushed to the ground by police and suffering injury, all because he tried to return a police helmet that he had found on the ground. It is not for the faint hearted.  The gentleman is still in hospital, days after the incident and yet while he remains in his hospital bed trying to recover, Donald Trump tweets this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGsqg5vtahA

"Buffalo protester shoved by Police could be an ANTIFA provocateur. 75 year old Martin Gugino was pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment. @OANN I watched, he fell harder than was pushed. Was aiming scanner. Could be a set up?"

I am so angry seeing this.  Trump doesn't have a single ounce of human decency within him.  He is getting worse by the day and the thought of him having his finger on the nuclear trigger for another 4 years scares the hell out of me.

If there are people out there that support Trump, I am sorry but there is no defense for his tweet today. Nobody in their right mind could believe such utter BS.

I fear that the election will be rigged and Trump will get in again - as I suspect it was when he beat Hilary. The only change seems for someone to assassinate him!

Yes, I saw the video before and particularly the non response of the police when the guy was on the ground was quite shocking especially when he was lieing prone and bleeding from his head ( I'm thinking that it wasn't tomato ketchup! )

I hadn't realised before that he was holding a helmet but see what looks like that now. The only counterpoint was the way he was waving his ( I assume ) phone at the second officer who then pushed him. And pushed him hard, Trump!! But pushing him away did look understandable, though that officer then looked particularly uninterested in the consequences. And the general initial lack of humanity from other police was appalling.

As for Trump, yes he seems to be getting worse which is quite frightening, as is the support he still maintains in the US. As his tweet indicates he had watched this utterly unsubstantiated conspiracy theory on news network OANN, apparently a favourite of his and more extreme than Fox, who he recently alleged were not helping him get reelected - which he evidently feels is their job!

For all who do care, the 75 yo, Martin Gugino, was still in hospital today, Tuesday. He"s no doubt absolutely fine and the hospital are in on it too!

PS: Helen, I have edited one word you had there to "change" to keep it on board.

Did I miss something ?  It wasn't long ago that Trump was saying that their position as the country with the highest infection rate should be warn as a "badge of honour" as it was testament to the efficiency of their testing system.

So the day of the Tulsa Covid-19 Super Spreader Event has arrived and just to help it really go with a swing Trump has been saying that some people wear masks just to show they dislike him.

That should add a few thousand more loyalists to the non mask wearers as they throng together and bellow their support through the air of the non social distanced huge indoor arena, at the end of a week which has already seen record new covid cases in Tulsa County and Oklahoma state.

It is bordering on criminal ( no matter what waivers attendees have been asked to sign )

Stat of the week. Donald Trump had a smaller crowd at the Tulsa arena than The Pips.

The Pips, you ask.

Yes. The Pips (but without Gladys Knight)

Another fact about those attending the Trump rally. They were required to sign a waiver stating that if the got CV-19 as a result of attending the rally, they could not hold Trump responsible.

But as for Trump's complete stupidity, he stated that the medical authorities should stop testing so many people because it pushes the numbers up. I mean, how egocentric can one get to put his election chances ahead of the lives of US Citizens.

Not sure how much of an effect it had, but apparently Trump was distributing ticket reservations through Social Media. There was a campaign b young people opposed to Trump to "buy up" all the tickets but never with the intention of attending.

I saw that but decided that it was more Trump/Fox/Beeb propaganda.

It's a bit like the whole virus thing for me - the first casualty of war is the truth.

While of course one could have a 'Daily Trump' if not at times an 'Hourly Trump' full of quite surreal stuff, I did think that one of his tweets from late Thursday night was a 'beauty' ...

"There is a rise in Coronavirus cases because our testing is so massive and so good, far bigger and better than any other country. This is great news but even better news is that deaths, and the death rate, is DOWN. Also younger people who get better much easier and fewer!"

Ignoring the rather incoherent ending, this came at the end of a second day of 3 that saw daily new cases over 50,000, and others pointing out the basic arithmetic that not just the the number of tests were up but that the % of positive tests results were up

The death figures have of course a few weeks lag on new cases and hospitalisations ( also up in many states for some reason - maybe they should stop counting these! ). Anyway, we will wait to hear more when probably fairly inevitably the already slightly flattening downward path of the US deaths graph takes another turn and deaths go UP.

Oh, and he has more recently 'informed' a White House ( and watching millions ) audience that 99% of cases are totally harmless. Well researched I am sure, and just a pity for the families of the 130,000, and counting, dead Anericans ( 530, 000 wor!ldwide ) and so many others that have suffered and continue to suffer. Utter disgrace!

How much is sheer ignorance, and how much is misleading and frankiy insulting the intelligence of the people ( yes, I know some buy it ) who knows. Though given he is supposedly so intelligent and on the ball, I guess it must be the latter.

Oh, I feel sick again ...

Evidently Dr Fauci was just "WRONG!" with his congressional testimony as to why new cases have risen so much. It's evidently still all that wonderful testing you know ( the results of which I heard often take 2 weeks to come back so are of rather limited use ). Forget this supposed much more limited lockdown as against Europe.

No Presidential theory though on why, as was inevitable from not just increased cases but, as Fauci had pointed out, an increased % of positive test results, average daily deaths have more than doubled in the last few weeks - back up to a little over half their peak, and still on an upward curve.
