It's understandable. I kind of feel if I tried to put into words general thoughts on Trump ( and Vance ), and so much could be said, I'd probably have to try and come up with new words next week, next month.

Whatever their reasons for voting as they did, and sure I understand self interest on a personal leveI, I at least hope that most of the US population feels embarrassed ( even moreso today ) that this man is their President.

Trying to humiliate Zelenskyy in front of the media was odious, claiming he was personally responsible for starting WW3 ridiculous and bullying him for not wearing a suit unbelievable.

The only person to emerge from that meeting with any dignity was Zelenskyy.

There were two things looking back that said this wasnt going to go well - Trump when he greeted him commenting on his dressing well for the occasion ( and later the right wing journo who attacked him for not wearing a suit. Zelenskyy said when the war started that he would wear combat gear until it was over. Completely tone deaf and disrespectful from the Americans.

And then Vance banging on about saying thank you and showing them respect; Zelenskyy said thank you as almost the first thing he said.

Just school ground bullies.

If the Democrats don't get their collective arse in gear & identify a moderate, personable &, therefore, electable candidate to challenge for the Presidency in 2028, the free world will be stuck with despicable, untrustworthy, myopic, thin-skinned playground bully Mark II.
