 Being frank, I think Trump has got this - the swing states are largely in his pocket and enough gap in several of them to make it hard to see how Harris comes back, unless they are just wrongly polled!

 It's not looking great. But the tightest 3 battleground states are Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin where the gaps still look very close, and Harris may well just need these, and afford to lose Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina.

Harris may be down to one pathway but it has still been looking a very possible pathway.

Win these 3 states ( and I suspect it may end up as all 3 or none of them ), plus all her more favourable states and that adds up to 273 electoral college votes ( give or take 1 or 2 from the states that have part proportionate electoral college votes ) which is a majority of the 538,

Latest bet365 betting ( which I believe is typical ) makes Ttump 1/2 favourite, Harris 17/10. So yes, Trump favourite, but to be still offering to give back £3 for every £2 staked in the event of a Trump win says still very open. They just wouldn't offer anything remotely like that if it was looking pretty much done and dusted.

 And now Trump does a garbage truck stunt, when he should surely just have been happy that Biden's own goal comments had possibly taken away a fair amoun of the damage of the original Puerto Rican comments. With Garbagegate still possibly a net loser for the Republicans ( especially in one or two of the battleground states ) it does seem a bit daft to fixate on it, especially when you can barely get into a garbage truck.

Are both sides trying to lose?!

 Trump is a narcissist and makes it all about him - it isnt about the Puerto Rico comment for him anymore, it is about the Republicans being called "trash" and he's turned that into the story. Bad strategy or not, its all about him and revenge on getting slighted etc. The guy is just a loose cannon!
