And thanks Jon for this poll and I am pleased with the winners Rod and Steffi.
Maybe some real tennis to watch is now just around the corner and I think we will look forward to seeing and talking about that in 4/5 weeks time. I know it was great getting back on a tennis court last week so can only imagine how our professional players must be feeling and raring to go!

Interesting how rod lost his semi to fed, before winning the final. I swapped allegiances in the final and it seems others may also have, as the final was quite a comfortable win
Mens events til tomorrow, womens later in week it seems.
Interesting. I'm liking their QF figures.
As they suggest right at the top the real question to be considered is "Federer? Nadal? Djokovic?"
QF:
Federer beat Becker 93% to 7%
Sampras beat Borg 63% go 37%
Nsdal beat McEnroe 83% to 17%
Djokovic beat Laver 62% to 38%
SF:
Federer beat Sampras 90% to 10%
Djokovic beat Nadal 55% to 45%
FINAL:
Djokovic beat Federer 98% to 2% lol ( from over 900,000 votes )
Very much in line with the expert opinions of Pat Cash on the Eurosport site and of indiana that the two greatest players are Djokovic and Nadal ( or at least that among contemporsries these two are ahead of Federer )

Really? 98 to 2?! That almost sounds like a fixed poll!?
While it's what I would have voted in that final, yes it does look a really extraordinary split.
Without as far as I can see directly giving the final %s, the site describes the final as an overwhelming victory in a one-sided final. In tennis terms about a 6-0 6-1 result.
I could though still submit a vote and that was the % split that was then shown.
Although Mats Wilander didnt do so well in our event, he is this week the 7th featured player in the ATP #1's series.
It is an interesting read of a player who maybe never got the respect he really deserved, because he and his game lacked flair I guess, but it certainly had intelligence and resillience.
However, one fact someone pointed out the ATP comments thread was:
Andy Himes
Fun fact: Mats Wilander is one of only 2 men in history to have won at least 2 Grand Slams on EACH surface - 2 on grass(Australia), 3 on clay (French Open) and 2 on hard court( Australian and USO)
The other? Rafa!
Which I found insightful and interesting! Of course, Novak and Roger have failed so far to get more than one on clay. Pete Sampras never did it on clay, Borg failed on hardcourt, before that most greats never played hardcourts of course. McEnroe similarly on clay, Becker too - clay seems to have been the downfall of many of the greats, leaving Rafa and Mats with this unique record.
Separate from this poll, but of interest in thinking about greatest ever.
In 1984 , john mcenroe set this record: this is on his wiki page.
Wimbledon 1984 68% (13463) games winning % in 1 tournament
Which is remarkable on grass and many think his 1984 season is the best by any player.
It got me thinking though , is this record the actual best ever or just at Wimbledon, and if the latter , what is the best ever in any slam, at least in recent years? Grass would be a surprise for this record to be held on, clay would seem more likely where players like Borg dominated matches.
Anyone know if macs record at wimbledon has ever been beaten at any other slam, and what is the womens equivalent ?record?
