In the boys, Matt Rankin won his R1 match but Sam Reeve (last week's finalist in Norway) lost out.

In the girls, Ella MacDonald won in two sets but plays the top seed next.

Talia Neilson Gatenby lost very easily against the second seed.

We had three boys turn up for the Grade 3 in Costa Rica.

But unfortunately we're now down to one, with him still to play :(

Derrick Chen lost pretty easily in R1, despite being 4th seed.

Gabriel Johnson took it to three sets but also lost.

Dan Webb is waiting to play.

In ALgeria, J4, Nora Khedri lost in R1, but Cheri Darley got a win.

Dan Webb also lost in Costa Rica in R1 (in three sets) making it a complete bust in terms of singles.

There is a Tennis Europe Category 1 event (roughly equivalent to an ITF Grade 1) in France this week involving many of those who were in Sweden last week for the Super Category tournament. Hannah Read lost easily today, but Viktor Frydrych and Hephzibah Oluwadare are through to the quarter-finals and Vlada Kozak will try to reach that stage tomorrow. Live scores for the TIM Essonne can be found here while there is live streaming from two courts accessible via links from here

In Sweden, J4, both Ella McDonald and Matt Rankin had tight matches but ended up on the losing end

In Algeria, J4, Cheri Darley won her R2 match and is into the QF.

We also have a guaranteed SF in the dubs as Cheri+ play Nora K+

 Disappointing, but still should be a nice points rise for Cheri. When I see her name I think of this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uybtn6ebG0I;

Bit like Blu Baker and "Dueling Banjos".
