The women's Guadalajara 125K is the following week, week 11.
Oh yes, for the WTA entries I use the http://www.tennisteen.it/entry-list.html site, and didn't notice that this is a two week entry period they are covering, which of course is the duration of the IW tournament. I'll take it out.
It looks like she hedged her bets by choosing the 125k there with a tournament in Mexico so if there was an opportunity to get into the IW she would be in the vicinity. Last year she ended up doing a couple of last minutes dashes across continents which aren't helpful for preparation.
It seems many others were in the same boat as Harriet because the final direct entrant is 204, and there's some decent players in qualifying as well, including a Mexican who made the SF of the WTA event that Heather won last week, and is now inside the top 200 herself - you'd think she'd be nailed on for a MDWC, in which case that's another top 200 involved.
I know it's one extreme to the other, and geography and convenience has to be taken into account, but although the '+H' does add a few extra points, they're basically playing for the same amount of points as Mildura this week, where someone is seeded ranked 457.
