Marni vs Emma will be interesting. Marni was competitive with Emma a few years back in juniors and has been progressing pretty well at her own pace. That was some statement win today though.
Clearly Emma will still be big favourite for the match but just interested to see how it goes. Be tough if Emma is on her top form.

Yes, Marni v Emma at Liverpool, wasn't it - those were the days!
Wonder if the LTA would like us to give them a hand, Indy?
Yep, amazing day, 6 matches played, and not even a set dropped - unreal. The day worked out pretty well for me too in terms of scheduling.
I got there at exactly 10am, and spent the first 5 mins wandering around aimlessly looking for Jack's match, there were 4 courts on one side and 4 on the other, and there was a big British contingent including Leon Smith, a 'Batesy', and Aidan McHugh, so I eventually asked someone if Jack had withdrawn and they said no he's on this court (I didn't recognise him with his cap forward, ha). He was solid enough, but I didn't realise the opponent was hampered, so was a bit surprised when he withdrew after the first set. I decided to stick around to watch a bit of Anton M, but as soon as Marni's match started I went over there to watch (all the matches that I was interested in, bar Tanysha's, were on the same side which proved very handy). I ended up sitting next to someone who looks after Marni, and Jodie, and he was heavily involved with JTC. I had a bit chat with him, but didn't get much out of him, apart from confirmation that Marni's Adelaide QWC, was basically just because there was spare space in the draw, and no LTA-TA agreement. I was impressed with Marni, she was pretty calm when facing a number of BPs, and had a bit of steel about her. The opponent was absolutely fuming with some of the calls, and they were bad for both, but as I mentioned earlier, some just weren't even close. Sam's match was running adjacent to it, so I did see bits and bobs during breaks in play, but I probably had the least interest in that match out of the 6 involving GB players.
Emma was only about 2 games in by the time Marni won her TB, so that worked out really well, and I got to see pretty much all of it. I was quite surprised that she was shaking her head a fair bit, and talking to herself, even when she was on top - perhaps that's just her style, and it's obviously working going by her recent results. I was gutted when she fell at 4-1* second set, because I thought that's another week in succession when she's been in a great position, but hasn't been able to get over the line due to physical issues, so was relieved when she got back on court following her MTO, and she was moving fine after that - think she may have broken to love on the first game back. I did actually speak to her just before I left and whether she was just saying it, who knows, but she said she was absolutely fine, and it had nothing to do with last week when she had spasms, and this was more just cramps. So we definitely do have a (17 year old) QFist now (assuming Emma doesn't beat Marni, and subsequently withdraw). Kostova looked more like she was ready to go for a night out in Newcastle than on court. She was also pretty angry with some of the calls.
I saw that Tanysha was a set and 2-0 up after Emma's match had finished, and as I'd seen Jodie a few times, I decided to watch the end of that rather than the start of Jodie's, but it was 3-0 when I got there, and while there were some impressive winners, I got the impression that Alder had kind of given up and accepted her fate at that time, so it was difficult to draw any conclusions, but Tanysha was buzzing with her first W25 main draw win, and good for her.
I went back over to the other side and Jodie was an early break up, so decided to concentrate on that match, while keeping tabs on Lissey on the adjacent court. Bronzetti didn't seem up to much, but it was good to see Jodie hitting the ball cleanly, and reasonably comfortable throughout, bar the odd break - there was also far less backchat and complaining to her team than the last time I saw her, which was good.
Finally, after all the British women's interest ended (there was still an ongoing Willis/Whitehouse doubles match), I saw most of the first set of Tauson's match, and she was complaining about everything - calls, lights flickering, balls from other courts, the lot - really grumpy throughout. There were 2 people watching her match and supporting, one was blatantly her mother as she was the spitting image, the other would likely have been her dad or coach, but I heard the women say to the man, that she thought last week was bad (in terms of calls), but this was the one of the worst she had seen. I know it's hard when there's just the umpire and one linesperson per court (and one of them looked sooo uninterested), but this did seem a theme throughout the day, more than usual at this level.
I'm not going tomorrow, but 7 British women in the last 16 must be so rare, that I'm almost tempted. The matches did generally seem more winnable on paper today, with only Emma facing a seed (who was out of form), but I still can't believe that there wasn't even one set dropped. A lot of tennis observed (10-5.30), but a very enjoyable day.

Thanks Ace, always good to hear from people who were actually there. I managed to watch a chunk of Jodie's match on the stream whilst at work, but otherwise could only check the scores.

I thought it was courts 6 and 7 that were streamed for some reason, but did think at the time it was particularly strange that Jack's on C5 (same one as Jodie) wasn't on a streamed court, but it must have been Marni's that wasn't streamed (unless they had 3 today).
As my big meeting got cancelled, I did actually watch a HUGE amount on livestream yesterday (as well as the men, Dan, the U12 in France, and U14 in Sweden !). (Bliss..... and SO cheap.....as OTT pastimes go, what's not to love....)
But really loved your sentence:
"Jodie hitting the ball cleanly, and reasonably comfortable throughout, bar the odd break - there was also far less backchat and complaining to her team than the last time I saw her, which was good"
Yes, she's been SO dramatic in the past, over nothing, and in a way that doesn't help her - if she's sorted that (at least a bit), then great. As you say, Marni isn't like that, so maybe it's something to so with their joint coach?
And, I agree, despite comments about Emma having a great attitude, I've also seen her be all negative and down on herself (although she's young - and, as you say, Clara was doing the same)
Really pleased to hear you report that she claims her injury scares are nothing serious.
Settled down a bit now, at the beginning of the match her 1st serve % was about 20 and I don't think she won a point on it for atleast her 1st 2 service games but the nerves have been used more positively now and she is holding her own. Making the match last in excess of an hour would be fabulous.
Young Eva has carried on where she was against Ali - taking the ball on, hitting a heavy strike, great to see.
Currently has to break to stay in it, yet again, but a very good second set...

Thanks Ace too for all your observations and I guessed that it was cramp that Emma was suffering so good that you've confirmed that and nothing more serious we hope. Interested in your one highlighted comment, since watching Emma on the livestream I didn't notice much of that head shaking and talking to herself you mention. Generally her body language seems very positive - unlike Kostova who was disputing long and heavily with the umpire from quite early on.
Emma and Amarni's match today will be interesting. I had only realised yesterday they were age mates - had thought Amarni was younger previously.
