How many match points did she save?

Four when she was 4-5 down, recovering from 0-40.

Play started 8 and a half hours ago, and we still have the 4th match to come, yesterday all 4 matches were over in not much more than 4 hours combined.

That's a quite amazing result considering she lost 6-2 6-1 to Linette last week.

Great to see Heather put a few wins together and get back into the top 100

A 3 hour match is going to be tough to recover from but atleast her opponent is only just starting her Q/F now

Forgot about that very recent Beijjng Linette match, that's quite some turnaround.

michael Johnson said that its your brain that tells your body what to do, its always been clear that Heather can play and its also been clear that her head was not in the right place, hopefully 2 wins against strong competition is enough to remind her that she is talented and can compete.

Heather will have to keep healthy and playing as she got some useful points at the back end of last year.

Oh my heavens, what an unbelievable performance from Heather. She must have got into a time machine and gone back in time...

Wow, wow, wow. I had to leave the house when she was lagging behind again. Well done Heather. Absolutely great result.

Looking like it's going to be Kudermetova in the semi final, she's currently 6-4 *3-0 up on Yastremska.

Now *5-0, and just an hour and 10 mins, so assuming there's no miraculous fight back, she should be a lot fresher, despite playing later.

Yes, on paper just 39 (10+29) points next month.

But the ranking points totals look pretty tight either side of WR 100.

She is currently showing as live 97 on 628 points. Take off these 39 ( net 36 ) points and she would be live 107 on 592 points. So she currently looks like she needs more of an Aus Open qualifying buffer.

70 more points for winning her SF would do very nicely. Go Hev!

This could be a season saving tournament for Heather. Really good chance to go further and a return to top 100. What was looking like a fairly dismal time at full WTA level all of a sudden looks a whole lot better.
