There were a few more yesterday, but there's probably more watching now than in Hev's R2 and QF matches, one of which featured a top 25 player and Tianjin native.

Yep, a brilliant and out of the blue week, and she could end her season now and still qualify safely for the AO. Plus, while I don't really like this WTA movement into, and reliance on, China, from Hev's POV, she has made $55,324k for reaching the final, whereas the Gauff/Ostapenko winner in the Linz equivalent gets $43k, and the loser just $21,400, so that's a nice windfall for her, in addition to a similar amount just for turning up in Melbourne.

Article on BBC with Hev saying after the match that she is much happier on court and with her game and looking forward to where it takes her. The KJT affect

Well done Heather. She didn't look quite as good today as yesterday but still a massive improvement on the summer. Glad to see she is feeling happy on court and hopefully off as well.
