Congratulations Hev. What a great run and finally shows what she is capable of.

Hev has quite a handy record in finals as well.....

Cracking win for Heather in rather a barren year.

Would be nice for her to end the year positively going into 2020.

Yes, time to rise to say WR 94 by 18/11.

Steady, woman !

Oh OK, go and win the thing

Live rankings say heather is around 87...is this her best level of the season?

Wow this is really back to the future stuff from Heather? What on earth has rejuvenated her so much this week?

The way she is eating them up.... I wouldn't bet on Peterson tomorrow

SF: WATSON, Heather (GBR) 125 def Veronika KUDERMETOVA (RUS) 45 (CH:42 Sept 19) 6-1 6-4

F: Heather WATSON (GBR) 125 vs Rebecca PETERSON (SWE) 59 (CH:52 Oct 18)

I saw Heather against Kontaveit at Wimbledon and she really does look like a different player in this tournament. So much more conviction in her shots and hitting the ball much harder.

Really well done. So good to see her smiling again.

I was there too,. I haven't seen any of this tournament as I am in the US and the time difference is wrong, but there's no way the Wimbledon  Heather could have produced a string of results like this. So pleased for her.

I think she is playing with the other side of her racquet this week. She should label it.

The commentator said yesterday that her coach this week is Rob Morgan. Isn't it usually Morgan Phillips?

Stunning win. Had my doubts with those initial missed match points, but closed it out like a boss.

Who saw this coming?

Heather's final is due not before 6.30 am BST.

Hopefully by then Scotland Rugby Union will have seen off Typhoon Haggis and we will have a wee match vs Japan later in the day.

Yay, Scotland 1 Typhoon Haggis 0

Heather the warm up for the rugby.

However, my condolences in respect of the many who have been seriously effected by Typhoon Hagibis, in particular the families of these killed and missing.
