A nice jump for Liam gets him properly back in the top-200 (rather than all this 'is-he-isn't-he' stuff, dithering around at 200 a couple of weeks ago ). He also leapfrogs Jay to be British no. 5.
Top 300 and main upward movers:
02/11/20
32 (-1) Dan Evans
47 (=) Kyle
70 (=) Cameron
119 (-1) Andy
184 (+14) Liam
187 (-2) Jay
288 (-1) James Ward
296 (+1) Jack Draper ('01)
I think Indy said on another thread that Felix and Arthur will be on the same number of points next week so I guess that means Felix should be up to about 1116, so just short of 300 places?
(worth mentioning that several of our 2001-ers are born very late in the year so the 2002 barrier is really important this year in terms of junior status but isn't at all meaningful in the big picture - the French used to also do a system of ranking people based on 30th June calendar year, so have two different ranking systems, to make sure the late borns weren't ignored. Jack D obviously flies the flag in that regard, but Oscar W and a few others would benefit from that too. Mind you, there are no 2000-ers of real note so the early 2001s are hardly going to be badly affected....)
The first rankings of 2021 are, as had previously been indicated, now based on a maximum of 19 counters plus the ATP Tour Finals.
Our top 3 rankings at 04/01/21 :
32 (=) Dan 48 (=) Kyle 74 (-3) Cam
Kyle has added 10 points with a 19th counter. Dan and Cam's points remain unchanged since their ATP Cup points are no longer additional but part of the new 19 counters ( and not a mandatory ).
Anyone know if there is somewhere where you can see a rankings list based just on tournaments in the last year or since the tour started up again after the break? Just wondered how the real rankings and the form rankings differ.
Maybe a premium account with OER might provide this sort of info but you have to sign up for a USD 8.99 a month fee (there is a 7 day free trial though). There is a description of what additional features you get with a Bronze subscription and it might include this sort of information - I havent accessed it though.
