We've had a specific rankings thread in the women's section for ages.
But not one in the men's.
So, in the good-old period, it all got put in the STEVEN thread. Which seemed a little weird after a while.
And during the horrid-old period, there was the transition tour section for ITF rankings, and we hardly had any ATPs, really, so that sort of was ad hoc....
But, today, liberation day, the glorious revolution and all that, seems a good day to start a new-world period ranking thread.
And WELCOME back to the ATP rankings so many of our players
05/08/19 = we now have 64 ATP ranked players, 31 in the top 1000.
Our top 500 is:
33 - Kyle
53 - Dan
62 - Cam
192 - Jay

I though it would be interesting to see how these top 1000 players, our top 31, compared in GB terms with our similarly ranked players in the final list on the old all-in basis shown in the ATP rankings, the (17.12.18) list.
In fact, extending it to our top 34 and using CD's list the only new top 34 player is the previously unranked Stuart Parker, now GB 31. Even the retired Alex Ward holds on for one last week at GB 34. Tom Farquharson, then GB 34 but not seen in a long time, is now UNR.
So not really anything much in refreshment down the rankings in these 7 months.
1. 33 - Kyle (1)
2. 53 - Dan (4)
3. 62 - Cam (2)
4. 192 - Jay (5)
5. 216 - Wardy (3)
6. 262 - Jan (7)
7. 263 - Liam (8)
8. 326 - Andy (6)
9. 338 - Brydan (16)
10. 351 - Evan (9)
11. 389 - Lloyd (11)
12. 427 - Ryan P (14)
13. 430 - Jack Draper (10)
14. 462 - Aidan (12)
15. 550 - Mark Whitehouse (13)
16. 563 - Andy Watson (15)
17. 591 - Jonathan Gray (19)
18. 623 - Paul Jubb (23)
19. 686 - Ryan Storrie (25)
20. 715 - Jack F-H (18)
21. 739 - Toby (26)
22. 769 - Josh Paris (30)
23. 770 - Luke Johnson (21)
24. 809 - Alexis (31)
25. 812 - Neil P (17)
26. 816 - George Loffhagen (20)
27. 897 - Isaac Stoute (27)
28. 908 - Samm Butler (28)
29. 961 - Finn Bass (29)
30. 985 - Jonathan Binding (33)
31. 1000 - Stuart Parker (UNR)
32. 1006 - Billy Harris (22)
33. 1132 - Ewan Moore (32)
34. 1181 - Alex Ward (24)
Jan Choinski appears retrospectiveky in the ATP 17.12.18 GB list so all my (17.12.18) GB rankings are with him included then.
Note just one order change I made from CD's list. Jonathan Gray and Paul Jubb are the other way round.
Cheers, Indy - duly amended
As you and Bob say, I had no idea really where everybody was and I was surprised, for instance, that Evan was so high - I'd got the feeling that he was all ITF points and no 'real ' ones....but was delighted to be wrong.
Just to note too, that we have 5 teenagers in our 31 top 1000-players, of which two are still juniors.
Lots of US college or ex-college players too - I make it to be 12 college or uni players (ex- or current) - although I might be slightly out....
Yes, fair point that although Stuart Parker is the only addition compared to a similar list last December, quite a number are still relatively young.
Would be good though to see such as Matusevich and Wendelken pushing into the top 1000 for starters and such as Loffhagen moving up, assuming he is still very committed to doing so.
There's some good news on the ranking front this week, both small moves up at the top ends and larger moves lower down, as the Roehampton points go on, with special mentions to Jack Draper and Ryan Peniston, both now into the top 400:
The top 100 is:
30 - Kyle Edmund +3
44 - Daniel Evans +9
60 - Cameron Norrie +2
Also:
376 - Jack Draper +54
396 - Ryan Peniston +31
532 - Mark Whitehouse +18
535 - Andy Watson +28
606 Paul Jubb +16
689 Jack Findel-Hawkins +26
754 Luke Johnson +16
874 Isaac Stoute +23
901 Stuart Parker +99
1160 Anton Matusevich +63
1203 Charles Broom +374
1280 Scott Duncan +107
1324 Millen Hurion - NEW IN
1609 - Clay Crawford, Dan Little, Joe Tyler, Marcus Walters - all NEW IN
Much healthier than the women's rankings, that's for sure! And leaves Jack just outside the GB top 10 at #11.
A host of CHs too for those in the teens: 10. Evan Hoyt - 344 11. Jack Draper - 376 13. Ryan Peniston - 396 15. Mark Whitehouse - 532 16. Andrew Watson - 535
There's a LOT more lower down too, but that's enough on the men from me
It's bunching together at the very top as Kyle drops back.
But Jack is back into the top 10 as the Shrewsbury points go on.
As is Andy
42 (-8) Kyle Edmund (age 24)
43 (+5) Daniel Evans (age 29)
64 (+5) Cameron Norrie (age 24)
189 (=) Jay Clarke (age 21)
272 (-13) Liam Broady (age 25)
289 (+214) Andy Murray (age 32)
293 (-4) James Ward (age 32)
299 (-4) Jan Choinski (age 23)
340 (+35) Jack Draper (age 17)
353 (-23) Evan Hoyt (age 24)
In the top 700, Andy Watson is +16 to 573, Jonny Gray +24 to 606, Jack F-H +9 to 665 and Luke Johnson +65 to 693.
Elsewhere of note: Scott Duncan +129 to 1383 and Sean Hodkin +391 to 1520
Decent jumps in the lower orders for several in the doubles too, as the home tournaments make their mark, with Alex Jhun, Elliott Farmer and Tom Hands now all in the top 1000 (and James Mackinlay just outside, and Andrew Ponder getting a ranking for the first time). Jamie Murray also back up in the top 10 (just)
Well Kyle's poor year is now going to be reflected in the rankings due to going out in R1 in Shanghai (was defending QF points) and those 250 title points coming off shortly (as not defending title).
