All three boys are on court 4 tomorrow followed by Erin and James/Oscar in doubles, so if they only stream one court then it may well be that one. If they stick to court 8 then Matilda (on third) would be the only Brit
Huge kudos to Anton as my 'hard to see him getting the third' comment proves spectacularly wrong !
Excellent third set. Carried on from sets one and two. Stuck to his guns and his game plan. Onclin tried hard to pepper his backhand but it didn't work.
His serve, and forehand, really did a lot of damage - rather Kyle-esque, really, with the same things to work on too.
And he was extremely level-headed, and polite to the ballkids (including the one whose head he nearly took off with his serve)
Well done, that young man.
Yes well done Anton. He probably benefited from a tough draw against the Roehampton champion. It meant he had to concentrate on his strengths with a simple game plan to deny Onclin any rhythm to really display his obviously strong all-round game . The strengths are the same as last year, perhaps even more markedly so. The power will give him a decent chance of causing damage in the pro game, but only if he works on other aspects of his game, which seemed as lacking as they were last year.
Really enjoyed Antons game this morning, the best I have seen him play. It took Onclin a couple of games to cope with his serve and agree mentally really tough, actually appeared to focus better when down, put the third set away nicely. Some good tennis played by both boys but more weight to Anton's ground strokes, the one thing he struggled with was putting away the short ball on the backhand side, generally gave it a slap but couldnt keep it in. A deep run here would do h the world of good.
Bravo to our anglo-franco Arthur! The boy he beat is atp 600 or so and he was jwr 10 at his high. Young Arthur has certainly chosen his time to find his feet on grass...

''Whitebeard'' claimed the treasure of a round 3 place after a tight match . It is indeed the top seed next for Anton - the Dane winning their Roehampton encounter 3 & 2. Arthur plays the Nottingham winner, with the winners of the two matches playing each other in the quarter-finals. Anton's match is second on court 14, so should be streamed (follows Martin Damm jr). Holly & Matilda's doubles is later on the same court, but Arthur and Matilda play their singles on court 4, so unlikely to be streamed.
In doubles a withdrawal gave Lui Maxted and Derrick Chen an opportunity, but they lost out to Arthur and Toby, while Connor and Jacob continued their good run

NB Love the fact that Rune has challenged two balls of Anton's, utterly convinced they were out, only to find that both were in. The second one saw him remonstrating with his camp, hawkeye was effectively wrong, the ball was out.
Just shows how he's been calling the lines, in all his junior matches .....
(I don't mean to imply cheating, but just getting it wrong)
