How many British wins will we get at Wimbledon 2019?

Also to note, past few years if we take out mixed we are remarkably consistent across the 4 other disciplines at 24, 23, 23, 23 wins each year. So mixed may be the thing that makes a difference!!

I am not sure we will hit those levels excluding mixed this season? Hard to see us getting 9 or 10 more wins?

So here is the rules:

British wins across all 5 disciplines ie mens/womens singles and doubles and mixed!!! yay I hear you say!

However, British wins  count as 1 in doubles where it is a pair or 1 if it is a single player of a pair. ie Jamie and Neal winning equals 1 ; Andy and Herbert winning equals 1.

So some history to help. Wins in past 4 years:

2015 - 26 (comprising 9 MS, 2 WS, 9 MD, 4 WD, 2 XD)

2016 - 31 (comprising 9 MS, 2 WS, 8 MD, 4 WD, 8 XD)

2017 - 40 (comprising 7 MS, 7 WS, 7 MD, 2 WD, 17 XD)

2018 - 36 (comprising 2 MS, 3 WS, 14 MD, 4 WD, 13 XD)

Average over 5 years 33.25. (MS 6.75, WD 3.5, MD 9.5 , WD 3.5 , 10 XD)

Range - (MS 2-9; WS 2-7; MD 7-14, WD 2-4; XD 2-17). thus if we peaked in each event we might get as high as 51 wins; if we dipped low we might get 15 wins.

So where does your vote  go?  Vote closes on Sunday evening around midnight!

PS if we take out mixed we are remarkably consistent across the 4 other disciplines at 24, 23, 23, 23 wins each year. So mixed may be the thing that makes a difference!!

5 womens wins with 2 left in, beats our 4 year average  , high is 7 in 2017.

5 mens wins with 1 left in, short of average but bounced back from last year.

0 womens doubles wins - not happened in recent history...

4 mens doubles wins with 6 (in 5 pairings) left in, still time to make a difference

Singles is basically on average, could beat it, doubles is well down. Mixed to come

14 players go in mixed tomorrow, 4 in mens doubles, no singles. Hopefully we will pick up a few wins along the way. I think one at least is guaranteed!

Well, that's another win

And a very well deserved and fun one too.

Eden and Evan beat Sam Stosur and Leander Paes

Those two lobs by Eden, right over Leander's head, to get the break, were just brilliant !

It's climbing, but I was hoping for a bit more on the Men's doubles side of things.

8 mixed players left in 7 pairs, just heather on court.

3 mens doubles players,

2 womens singles and 1 mens. So 13 different routes to add to score still.

In terms of adding to this score, we have many of our players going: so 11 chances at a win (counting Hoyt/Silva as one), some more likely than others!!

Singles - Dart, Konta, Evans

Mens Doubles - Andy Murray, Norrie, (just Joe S not playing)

Mixed - Clarke, Neal Skupski, Watson, Bambridge, Hoyt/Silva, Andy Murray (maybe, silly scheduling allowing) (just Jamie M not playing)

Andy is the only player left in 2 events, for what that is worth!

Jo has added another one to the tally but the men's doubles is letting the side down a bit. 38 is looking a long way off right now.
