RE: Fran Jones

Fran had entries for 01/08 and 08/08 but withdrew from both on 26/7 so hopefully not too far away from playing soon.

A shame given how much progress she was making, hopefully she'll make it back eventually like Kyle.

Just come across that Fran was due to play the Africa Cares Tennis Challenge last weekend. Unfortunately the event was cancelled.

After Fran's amazing SF run at the WTA Tour event, the Copa Colsanatis in Bogota, Colombia:

Very informative article from Mike Dickson

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/tennis/article-11966109/EXCL-Fran-Jones-track-zooming-WTA-rankings-overcoming-injury-hell.html

Which tells of her plans for the next couple of months:

"Jones now plans to keep playing on the clay up until the French Open, which she will enter by using another of her IPR designations."

And also gives a lot of info about her injuries last year:

"In Australia last year I basically started off with a a problem in my elbow and then I fractured my foot. Then I had a nerve injury which was peculiar and a mystery to all the doctors.

We just knew that it was a nerve issue. It was extremely rare and nothing familiar to me, I just know its in my upper body, around my playing arm, Im still not sure if it has properly healed."

Has anyone heard anything about Fran. Assume she's injured, any return date?

She did an interview/photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar last month but nothing since.
