The bottom half of the draw appears to me to be the stronger of the two

Naomi really should sail through a weak top half.

Bottom half is very open and much more loaded.

Yes, Naomi vs Eden or Vic should be the top half play off match, whilst in the bottom half, Lissey vs Tara is a stand out first up match.

Just hope EWS gets that doubles WC, then her results here don't matter.

With Mandy, Ella, Emily Arb and Chloe not there from our WTA ranked players Alice appears to be a direct ITF rankings entrant.

So, with Matilda a junior ranking WC, is Amelia the only British tour WC or were one of the other 3 WCs ( Sasha, Sonay and Destinee ) somewhere on the tour list?

If Sam plays like she did in Manchester she will prevail

Not like she played in her last match though. And Tara is gloriously unpredictable.

Only Amelia, Alice or Ketherine Barnes could have got in from the tour list. I haven't checked the ITF list to see who was next.

Do only 4 of them have WTA rankings?

No, at least 7 others do, that's just reflecting the ranking of the 4 seeds.

This is copied straight from the LTA draw. They only quote the rankings for the seeds. I haven't checked, but I think ten of the sixteen have WTA rankings..

The rankings used are those of this week, Monday 17th, BTW, not the previous week as would be the case at a tournament that started on a Monday.

Yes, 10 of the 11 DAs have WTA rankings.
