Enjoy you trip flamingowings. I had quick look at the prices when at Queens yesterday the sandwiches alone were £7! I have to say Im lucky with where I live with the tennis I get on my doorstep each year, Surbiton, Queens and Wimbledon all in easy reach and I guess Eastbourne isnt too far a drive if I fancied it.

Sorry but I couldn't resist that one. As others have said, I hope you have a fantastic day, that the sun shines, that you get to see the players you want to see and hopefully with some GB wins thrown into the deal as well.

Live tennis - time I was seeing more myself and I had been thinking about Wimbledon qualifying if time and money allowed. It's a long time since I've been to London for any reason.

Just echoing others, FW, hope you have a wonderful time. While I agree that it's expensive at Queen's, I've found it very friendly when I've been. And it's great to see the players just wandering around. And you do see some fantastic players there. And you deserve to enjoy it.

Haha, I chose this name because it's a riff on a West Wing thing (as in the tv show) and isn't my "usual" online name.

A GB win would be an improvement on last year where I saw Cam and Jay lose their matches.

I am also looking forward to hopefully seeing Delpo, Garin (even if I do have to sit through Cilic ) and a few others. I am gutted not to see Andy but hope to see Jamie.

Not too much happening Edinburgh way...unfortunately. Might try to go to the Glasgow one in the autumn.

I quite fancy doing Surbiton and Eastbourne next year if I can.

My entire lunch will be £7 or less!

Good luck to FW and all those others going to Queens. It does seem a lovely tournament to attend, if one can strategise to manage the pricing as much as possible as seems to be required. I don't get to see much live tennis either, family and work travel constraints don't help, but would also like to try more. I'd actually like to see some of our younger players play more, maybe because I've a son who used to play a lot.

At least Queens let you take your own food in - unlike (for example) at the Fed Cup at the Copper Box.

I hope those going enjoy it, it should be good. I went once many years ago, at the time the draw was larger (56) and as such they used a couple of outside courts, so it felt like a much "bigger" event, it looks like now it is just the one court in use which I think is a shame. Although presumably that changes if it rains and they have delays etc?

Either way some good matches on todays schedule at Ilkley and at Halle as well, where they have a good field as well, and with Ilkley and Birmingham it feels like the week takes the level up a notch.
