Long way back now for Harriet. Toml converted either her 4th or 5th BP and has the early lead in the decider. 0-1*

She recovered that break, but I'll have to try and do it again, 2-3*

Maia is the only Brit left in Nottingham now, singles at least. Tough match for her as well.

Good stuff.

Eden in particular had moved up the doubles rankings these ladt few months. She had 127 points in February. 60 ( net 55 ) so far here will take her to live 413 points, taking out her CH 196 and moving up to live GB #5.

Maia well beaten as expected, 3-6 1-6. Started quite well, but the levels showed in the end.

I'm surprised Heather didn't choose Manchester to give her a better chance to earn points. She may have been unlucky with the draw but it was always likely to be a challenge.

It's always a difficult one, but as a circa top 100 player and one who's competent on grass, then I think she's got to be looking at playing WTA events than an ITF. Maia, for example, got more points for beating Tara, a QWC, than Heather did last week for beating 2 top 100 players on grass last week, so they are much more lucrative. The Manchester field was notably weaker than the other 2 ITF events, but if your ranking was strong enough to get you in to a WTA event directly, and thus you're higher ranked than the 4 MDWCs and 6 Qs and a few others (like Harriet) then I'd personally have rather played that.
