Well I only have ITV4, so no choice at all!
Not watching at the moment as trying (!) to get other things done. Think I'll miss Jo later, sadly, as I have to go out.
Interesting comment from CD abut Jim Courier - I thought he talked far too much yesterday!
In reality I could manage perfectly well without the commies.
Just as well Federer's match is as dull and workmanlike as it is so it can be over quickly enough that we only miss 2 or 3 games of Jo's match. Are ITV contracted to show every minute of Federer/Nadal/Djokovic's matches even ahead of our own players?
She's opened with a hold has Jo. Davis' left leg is heavily strapped, but it was throughout the entire US green clay court season where she won one event and reached another final to claim this reciprocal WC, so doesn't seem to be affecting her.
Apparently Bertens has retired in her match, so young Kuzmova awaits the winner of this match. Jo had set point, but has just saved a break back point, and I mean just.
That is a shame for Kiki, I like her and she has been in some good form of late. Let's not look too far ahead though, Jo still needs to finish off Lauren after taking a very scrappy first set
I'm not a huge fan of Kiki and prefer Kuzmova, but it is very unfortunate for her as she was one of the faves for the title. This one is from over as well as you say, Konta had BP on the opening game, but since Davis held, the set has pretty much been one way traffic.
Andreescu has now just withdrawn. Kozlova this morning, Bertens after just getting underway and now Bianca - Kenin gets a walkover. Dropping like flies.

Seems strange. But they all did at least win their first round matches...
It is a shame for the tournament mind. Not wanting to take anything away from Potapova the other day, but Kerber clearly wasn't at her best after hardly playing on play with her ankle injury, Kvitova, Bertens and now Andreescu. Again, Bianca hadn't played since Miami, so may have come back to soon with it being a slam, but those 4 could quite feasibly have been quarter finalists (3 were top 6 seeds and clay is supposedly Andreescu's best surface).
Berten's seemed more illness than injury, but wonder if the likes of Kvitova and Andreescu will be fine for Wimbledon?
Kvitova said it was a minor tear and should heal in a few weeks. Andreescu's shoulder was still bandaged in her first match. Bertens was ill, so just very unlucky.
