A set and a break up has been dangerous territory for Kyle recently.

Winning in general has been challenging. However, he can do this.

Cam is on first in court 7, followed by a WTA match*, followed by Dan.

*Kontaveit, coached by Nigel Sears if I'm not mistaken, so all in all, a very GB court tomorrow.

Getting a horrible sense of dejavú here. A set and 4-1 then loses 6 of the next 7 games. I am already fearing the worst here. Hoping Kyle can prove me wrong.

Jim Courier on ITV4:  "Kyle Edmund is a wonderful tennis player, but he's woefully short of confidence at the moment".  cry

I'd love to know which tasteless individual at Nike is responsible for the drab, God-awful, girly kit Kyle is wearing!  disbelief  furious  It's up there with with Dino's Ted Baker get-up from a few years ago.  There was some speculation between Jim Courier & Mark Petchey (?), but they came to no firm conclusions about whether Kyle actually had sufficient clout to turn round & say "no" to what he was sent.  JC thought he probably wasn't ranked highly enough to do so.

Pity developing the mental and court presence side seemed to be such an afterthought in Kyle's early pro years.

At least Kyle seemed to be belatedly working on it with Fredrik Rosengren with noticeable on court changes. But I doubt you can wholly change how you have developed. That may show up more when results are not going well, and I wonder what fall back mechanisms Kyle has in place, especially now that Rosengren is no longer with him.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Kyles kit. Much better than the boring plain stuff all the competitors put out year on year.

As for the tennis... this could go either way.

They are all wearing it aren't they if they are Nike? The women look better in it. I think Kyle's outfit would be better if it was either the shirt OR the shorts but not both.

Also flowers etc isn't girly. Plenty of men wear floral patterns!

Kyle finally gets his nose back in front, taking the third set by 6-4.

Yes, they are!   Are you telling me you actually like those appalling, hideous Hawaiian shirts some men seem to go in for?
