So Harrogate lost our last match - we had 70 plus percent possession and 23 shots and still lost 2-0. We end 19th, similar to last season and we havent really pushed on.

I have to say Im disappointed as I felt we could push for play offs this season. I like Simon Weaver the manager as a person but lets face it, he would be manager if his Dad didnt own the club!

Onto next season with hope.

Impressive stuff from Man City to pick themselves up off the midweek floor and so much get into the PL driving seat. Sorry, Ace.

By winning 5-0 they not only can now afford a draw in their last 3 games they may be able to afford a defeat. City are now 3 points ahead and 4 goals ahead on GD although we have to factor in that Liverpool winning while City lose would close the GD so very tight on that.

With each having a home and away game against Villa and Wolves in some order, the remaining fixture does look to favour Liverpool and with goals potential, being away to Southampton, while City's other remaining game is away to West Ham who are looking for a Europa League place at Man United's expense.

Yeah, if we're splitting hairs, 3-0 / 4-1 probably would have been a slightly fairer reflection, but they did bounce back very well, probably helped by that Spurs match last night, and they are in a fantastic position now as you say.

While you obviously never like to be battered, it's possibly a blessing in disguise for Howe for a number of reasons, and still pretty surreal that we're in a position where the result doesn't really matter.

I'm not sure who I want to win the league. If Liverpool did win the other two, especially the CL, then I'd probably like City to win it, but I'm pretty neutral overall.

Tackle nowhere near as reckless than Ayling against Arsenal, but is that's a Chelsea player on a Leeds player, I am screaming for a red card. Sadly can't argue with the decision again. We are going to have to win the last two games - assuming we have any players left.

Yeah, I don't think he can have any complaints, not as bad as you say, but silly all the same.

I guess at least you don't need worry about GD because you won't be staying up because of that, you basically need one extra point than Burnley in the remaining games. Everton missed a glorious chance to put much more daylight between them and 18th, but still look largely fine.

Could be an absolutely massive equalising goal for Leeds, and it does at least mean that the relegation battle will go to the last day to the season (well in a realistic sense anyway, none of this 20 goal swing stuff). Everton officially safe if they beat Brentford next.

Man City come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at West Ham, still firmly in their own hands, but again, keeps it a bit more interesting, and if Liverpool beat Southampton in midweek, the title race will also go to the final day.

A lot of pressure on Arsenal to win tomorrow night now after Spurs' last few days, and the race for 4th will also definitely go to the final day.

A lot to play for in the coming week.

It's still very finely poised because it is 'in Burnley's hands', they have the GD advantage, the game in hand, and also a home match to play, but at the same time, that point may well be enough to keep you up as it is, massive. 2 not very big matches on paper for Newcastle, but both could have a massive say in the top 4 and survival situations.

I thought in the 1st half hour, we could have been 3 down. But we were worth a point on our 2nd half performance. Draw was a fair result.

Just read uptheclarets posts on other matches. Cheered me up no end! A lot of negative Burnley fans on there assuming they will lose to villa and Leeds will win at Brentford. Best you can say about Leeds result is the equaliser gets them out of drop zone and result ought to increase confidence ahead of last match. Now we have to hope Burnley lose on Thursday.

Blackpool's 17 year old midfielder, Jake Daniels has become the first active pro-footballer to come out as gay. The only sad part about this is that it has taken so long for this barrier to be broken and I hope that this young man's courageous decision will enable others who have felt the need to hide their true selves, to be able to follow suit.

So to Jake Daniels, I say that I salute you and that you will have my full support.
