15-0 greg is now the weak link, he won't win his singles tomorrow I would be shocked if he did.

Which of the commentators do you find the most irritating ?

For me it's Andy Castle, John Lloyd and the others are usually ok. The Beeb ought to hire McEnroe more, noone is better than him in the commentary box, like with Michael Johnson and the athletics coverage.

At the Aussie Open, John Lloyd was recollecting about the time in the '70s when he made the Aussie Open final. Apparently, he had to walk from the locker rooms in Kooyong [another tennis club in Melbourne but not far from the Rod Laver Arena]. His excuse for his poor performance was that he was tired out before the final started from the walk. I couldn't believe that, how unfit can you get

30-15 finally another ace from Greg.
40-15, unreturnable
and again, game.

4-5, have to break now though or match lost.

Actually I like old Lloydie. Becker pisses me off, he sounds very forced and unnatural. yes macenroe is certainly the best (although i think he knows it).

Andy castle is definitely the most irritating, he is the one asking the silly questions of John Lloyd mainly.

15-0, body serve to Murray who manages to return but right to the racket of Bozo who hits it behind him.
30-0, in the net.

commentators have written it off.

30-15, from the crowd reaction you'd have thought we just won the whole weekend!!!
second serve....

40-15, in response to your earlier question, Greg is the worse returner.

match gone with an ace.

Andy gutted and run off already.

Basically the Brits didn't work well enough as a team in the way S&M did, really the players who derserved to win did

Oh well, at least there's still tomorrow and maybe us Brits can buck the trend and be one of the 1/5 teams to win the match but lose the doubles

Just back From Braehead. That was a totally deserved result in the doubles but for Andy fans, I've got to say his behaviour was pretty appalling. You can't shout "f***" at the umpire and expect to get away with it and the verbal volley and gesticulations at the umpire at the end were the lowest. Regardless of his age and immaturity, he's going to lose a lot of respect if he doesn't watch his mouth!

I am very defensive of Andy and his antics and give him lots of room to be 'himself' but honestly I left the arena shaking my head think...Judy should get a hold of him, smack him around the head, march him to the umpires room and make him apologise then send him to bed early with no supper.....thats what you do with misbehaving kids...and he was exactly that.

Storming off pointing to the umpire and not even turning around to thank the crowd who were very vocal and supportive throughout was really poor of Andy.

Just to finish my rant..... Jeremy Bates quote....re Fridays matches

"....to be honest the crowd were a bit docile...."

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.....If he thought the crowd was quiet he could have conveyed that to the press in a smarter way....to insult the GB support like that...well it defies belief !

So Greg to beat Djokovic...then Andy to come out after a long sleep to beat Tipsareivc...mmmmmmm....dont know about that ?
