It sounds like it's really close but S&M got a bit lucky in that game where they broke with that dodgy net cord.

My doubts are whether Murray and Greg are physically fit enough to last 5 sets.

That stat from the commentators is interesting, it shows just how crucial the doubles is and also that the teams who have a specialist doubles pair have a really big advantage.

If they lose this it's really looking glum for GB, I don't see Greg beating Djokovic tomorrow, he'll be exhausted.

why? It's only a temporary court I think.

(just got a shot of Andy's girlfriend watching)

Greg has put his 'lucky' hideous headband on again.

15-15.

30-15, a smash from Murray standing right on the net at last!

so far Greg has got 1 first serve in this game.

30-30 didn't get the volley over the net.

double fault greg. 30-40

questioning a line call but game lost. Murray is arguing with the umpire!! Think he might be frustrated!

15-0 to S&M

Rusedski opening the 4th set:

30-15

Greg serves down the T to the ad court, serve right on the line....

physically neither Greg nor Andy looks too tired, I think they could go all the way if they have to. BUT the S&M team are really fired up at the moment.

An ace was called out from Zimo (questioned the umpire again, ironic really as Lloyd had just praised the linesmen and we get two disputed calls!) he loses the point as he's ruffled. 30-30

then 40-30

game, Bozo hit a volley winner by acident.

It's a temporary court laid using the underside of the indoor court which was used for the ATP Battersea tournament [got moved to Milan]. I was still amazed that it didn't have cyclops because it's not that difficult for the techno guys to fix up and all ATP events and a lot of challengers have it.

Oh no, so we've been broken at the start of set 4 ?

things really look bad now, the Serbs will be more fired up and although GB are creating plenty of chances they're taking very, very few of them.

Maybe Greg is getting a bit tired and it's affecting his serve ?

Hopefully Murray can raise his game, that would help

15-15 on Murray's serve (thank goodness, was 0-15)
15-30, passing winner. Greg is beginning to look a little tired.
30-30
40-30, Murray hit right to Zimo's feet

game, lovely smash from Greg

the commentators were kind enough to point out in that game that a second break would probably mean the match for S&M!!

What do you make of Rusedski's returning Bethan ? I ask because during the Switzerland tie and all of the previous doubles ties I've seen, Rusedski's returning has been really bad. The problem he has is that on his backhand return in singles he tries to chip it back with no pace, when he does this in doubles it's easy for the guy at the net to cross and smash it away. When he tries to hit over the backhand with topspin, he finds the net most of the time. Opponents identify this and keep serving to Greg's backhand.

In the Swiss tie, Mu's returning in doubles was brilliant, he was winning a lot of points but Greg hardly won any.

Great hold, that was really crucial

Is Andy Castle being his usual irritating self in the commentary box !!

Both Brits are now looking quite tired, I think it's more mental that true though.

15-0
Bozo did a foot fault. then hit into the net in the rally.
15-15
30-15, a good serve
40-15, ace
40-30, double fault
deuce, both S&M players went to one side of the court, so Andy hit the passing shot into the empty side of the court and put it away!
(umpire getting annoyed at crowd cheering too much!!!)
ad GB (terrible volley from Bozo)
(umpire overrulled so 1st serve, Andy told him off!!)
GAME super lob from Greg, Murray being wonderfully expressive as per usual!!

Auckland, Parmer and Fleming are doing a great supporting job, geeing up the crowd.

greg's returning... to be honest I haven't really noticed it which would suggest its not too bad otherwise I would have. He is running around a lot of them to return on the forehand but thats all.

Momentum back to us! and crowd happy and loud again.

40-30 (greg missed an easy volley, was 40-15)
second serve.
game, very loud cheering!!

Fantastic !!!!

I guess that Murray's tonsils were on full display again after that game, lol !!!

Great stuff from the other British players aswell, getting more from the crowd, must be a fantastic experience for Fleming. On Sunday evening, I'll give him a ring and ask him about the DC experience, I'll let you know what he says.

with regards to the cyclops or lackthereof I would guess that the cost outweighs the advantages.

Andy is getting far too angry with the umpire as a let was missed and given as an ace. 15-0.

15-15, double fault Zimo chucks his racket across the floor!
30-15, Greg misses a really simple volley, oh well.
40-15, greg mis-hits after the ball bounces funny off the line.
game 3-3 in third set.

As fired up as Andy is it's Greg that seems to be more affected by fatigue, he's not playing so great.

0-15.
