This is the thread for match discussion and commentary.

Will someone be able to provide commentary this afternoon for this match ?
I would do but my BBCi doesn't work.

What are your predictions for this rubber ?

Looking ahead to the crucial doubles rubber, Jeremy Bates said:

"At 1-1 the tie is all to play for and the doubles becomes crucial.

"Andy has shown no ill-effects from practising yesterday and it's just a question of trying to sharpen him up.

"It's one thing hitting balls but quite another thing competing and playing points. But it's good he is going to be coming in and playing with Greg, who is confident and used to the court."

And Bates admitted he had hoped for more from the Glasgow crowd on Friday despite Murray's absence.

"I was a little bit disappointed with the crowd, if you want my honest opinion,"

"There were quite a lot of empty seats and I thought it was a bit too docile. Hopefully it will be better with Andy playing."

I fancy the home boys for this one. Rusedski is an underrated doubles player and will be interesting to see (or hear in my case) how he gels with murray. GB in four.

the bbc commentators have said that Bozoljiac is the weak link for them, we'll have to wait and see.

Apparently GB are now 3-1 down, Murray lost his serve

According to the Beeb, there were two double faults, an overhit forehand and a netted forehand, not a particularly good start

Hopefully GB can start to expose Bozo and break back quickly.

Zimo smacks an 190 kph service winner down the T past Rusedski and seals the game for S&M and they lead 4-1.

Not a particularly promising start but all games have been pretty close and there's a long way to go.

My prediction is GB in 5, it'll be really tight but home advantage will see us through, [I hope !!]

Rusedski serving and he smashes down a 215kph [140mph+] bullet to take GB to 30-0.

Greg serves cross-court to the deuce court....

4-1 to S&M the brits missed 5break points on that game. Basically Murray is really rusty, making ues everywhere and he had a love break.


On the up side, we just won a love hold when Greg served.


sorry, my internet keeps going and then being really slow, I'm trying!


40-0 to S&M, they're not a bad team and are working well together. Murray hits a lovely backhand volley winner in response though...and then can't get his racket on another serve.


(commentators are telling everyone as we didn't know that the doubles match is important)

Beeb update on the previous game:

Apparently, Murray started to find his form and GB had 0-40 with 3 break back points as Muzza hit a forehand winner. Unfortunately, Zimo came up with big serves to take it to deuce. GB had a 4th bp but they wasted that by staying too far behind the baseline.
Bozo produced some quality volleying to take the game

Wow, games are going fast - you can tell it's an indoor court.

Mu and greg held for 2-4 but the Serbs are rattling through another service game and have 40-15.

Bozo has just hit a 222kph serve [that is seriously fast]

Zimo is a very experienced doubles player, I've seen his name on the circuit for ages - a really big server.

Murray seems to be getting into things apparently after his rusty start, he's just held to love.
